Hollow Knight Silksong is full of secrets, and the Growstone happens to be an item that less than 1% of players have found so far. This rather mystical item also has a very useful ability that you’ll want to have on yourself from time to time.
This item isn’t particularly easy to find or even unlock, so be prepared for a challenge along the way.
How to easily get the growstone in Hollow Knight Silksong
The Growstone is a special item that can only be accessed in the second, secret game mode, known as the Steel Soul mode. Steel Soul mode is a permadeath mode, and holds this Growstone in a hidden location.
Once you have unlocked the Steel Soul mode, follow the steps below in sequence:
- Fire up your copy of Hollow Knight Silksong.
- Enter the Konami Code.
- The code in question uses arrow (or D-Pad) keys in this sequence: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right.
- Once you’re done inputting the code, the screen should flash.
- Next, head on over to the Blasted Steps.
- Head over to the upper platform to find Shakra.
- The place should be populated by an NPC known as Seer Zi. Speak with the NPC to trigger a quest that involves finding resting spots.
- Find all the resting spots to unlock a secret boss fight against the Summoned Savior. Locations for each resting spot will be randomized per playthrough.
- Defeat the (admittedly difficult) boss to have them drop the Growstone.
