Pale Oak is one of the new vegetation that has made its way to Minecraft with The Garden Awakens update. They are found in the Pale Garden biome and their white coloring gives them a creepy look that you can use to make some of the most haunted and creepiest structures in Minecraft.
While Pale Oak is exclusive to the Pale Garden biome, you will be able to harvest them and grow them in other places around the map. There are a few steps involved when it comes to achieving this and our guide below goes over them all.
The best way of growing Pale Oak in Minecraft

Here are a few things you will need to do to grow Pale Oak anywhere you like in Minecraft:
Step 1: Obtain 4 Pale Oak Saplings
To start growing your own Pale Oak, you will need to obtain at least 4 Pale Oak saplings. To get them, you will need to break down pale Oak trees by first cutting them with an Axe and then using a hoe to mow down the leaves.
Once you have cleared the tree, you will be able to pick up a Pale Oak Sapling from the ground. So harvest multiple trees like this so that you have at least 4 saplings in your inventory.
Note: Another way of obtaining a Pale Oak Sapling is by trading with the Wandering Trader. Their inventory was updated with the saplings when The Garden Awakens went live.
Step 2: Till the soil and prep it for plantation
Once you have four saplings, you will now need to till the grass or dirt block with a hoe and prep it for plantation. You will need to till at least four squares in a 2×2 arrangement and have them right next to one another.
Once the soil is prepped, place the saplings in the plot one beside the other, and they will grow into one Pale Oak Tree.
Step 3: Use Bone Meal to improve yield
Bone Meal can be used to improve your yield by speeding up the growth of the tree. A bone meal is a fertilizer that you make by composting bones and bone blocks. You will get bones by beating skeletons or from treasure chests.

While bones are scarce in the Overworld, they can be found in abundance in the Soul Sand Valley biome in the Nether. So once you have the resource use the composter to make 3 bone meal with one bone piece or 9 bone meal with one bone block.
To use a bone meal, right-click on the growing Pale Oak tree while holding the fertilizer. Once you cut down a Pale Oak, you can harvest it again when the tree re-grows. Using bone meal you can drastically improve your yield.
Best ways of using Pale Oak in Minecraft
Pale Oak has great uses for making haunted buildings and other structures. Because of its ghastly white color, it will allow you to make some really creepy designs in Minecraft.
Another good use of Pale Oak is for summoning the Creaking mob. As long as you have the Creaking Heart, you can summon the mob by harvesting two Pale Oak blocks and placing one block on the ground, stacking the heart on it, and then placing the second block on top of the heart, sandwiching it.

If you have done it correctly, the heart will start to glow, and then spawn a Creaking at night.
Note: Do keep in mind that any Pale Oak tree that you grow from a harvested sapling will never contain a Creaking Heart by default. You will need to search for the heart in the Overworld.
