Modding has grown to become an essential part of video games, and allows players to break the traditional limits of a game’s vanilla design. This user generated content comes in a variety of flavors, ranging from simple graphical filters to entire game overhauls and/or fixes.
Jagex’s Runescape Dragonwilds is the newest game to receive some form of modding support, and the process is relatively simple. More on how to install mods in Runescape Dragonwilds below.
How to download and install mods in Runescape Dragonwilds

- Firstly, make sure you have Runescape Dragonwilds installed on your system.
- Purchase the game from Steam if you haven’t already, and install it.
- Next, head on over to the official Nexusmods page for Runescape Dragonwilds.
- Browse the thread for any mods that might interest you.
- Click on the mod’s banner page, and read its description.
- Once you are sure that this is the mod you want to download, make your way over to the Files tab.
- Click on the Manual Download button. Do keep in mind that you will require a Nexusmods account for this particular step.
- Download any additional mods and/or dependencies if prompted to do so.
- Click on the Free download link and wait for the download to finish.
- Extract the mod in a folder of your choice.
- Make sure to install the UE4SS mod onto the base game before proceeding further. This mod must be installed in the game’s base folder.
- Next, fire up Steam and click on the Runescape Dragonwilds banner.
- Click on the Settings cog wheel to bring up a drop-down menu.
- Select Manage.
- From the pop up menu, select Browse Local Files.
- The folder containing the game files should now pop up.
- Copy over the mod’s files (which were extracted earlier) to the mods folder.
- The correct path would be \_path_to_game_folder\RSDragonwilds\RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods.
Next, simply boot your game to have the mods automatically enabled.
