In STALKER 2, knowing how to repair your weapons and armor is important because it can cause you problems in the middle of a gunfight.
GSC Game World has included 35 guns at launch and has mentioned that more will be added at a later date.
So, here’s how you can fix your guns in STALKER 2.
How to fix gear in STALKER 2
You’ll know that its time to fix your gear when you see the durability on the item reduce. The durability of your weapon or armor piece is located on the bottom of the pop up screen that appears when you hover your cursor over them.
If it’s green, then your weapon is in pristine condition, and if it’s red then you need to repair it quickly. To repair your item, you need to visit a Technician.
You’ll encounter Technicians across all major cities in STALKER 2, and the first one that you’ll come across is Lens.
You can find Lens in a building beside the bar in Zalissya. When you approach him, select the dialogue box and press the prompt to open the repair panel.
From here, select the gear you want to repair and you’re good to go. However, repairing your weapon will cost a lot of coupons.
The lesser the durability of your weapon and armor in STALKER 2, the more expensive it is. During the early game stages however, you will be able to repair Skif’s Handgun for free, but only till you make the first upgrade.
After that, you’ll have to spend coupons to upgrade all your weapons. It’s worth noting that, atleast during the early game stages, it’s important to continuously swap weapons in STALKER 2.
The cost of repairing them is extremely high so, it’s best if you keep swapping your weapons whenever your get the chance.
