How to spawn Chicken Jockey in Minecraft

Following its appearance in A Minecraft Movie, Chicken Jockey is rapidly regaining popularity within the Minecraft community. Essentially, it is a mob combination, where a baby zombie rides on the chicken. Its chance to occur naturally is quite low, making its appearance in the game quite special.

Besides naturally spawning, you can also use some commands in Minecraft to spawn Chicken Jockey. There are some simple steps associated to them, and you can easily follow them to witness the remarkable mob combination.

Here is a detailed guide on how you can spawn a Chicken Jockey in Minecraft.

How to spawn Chicken Jockey in Minecraft

Chicken Jockey in Minecraft

As already specified, Chicken Jockey is a mob combination in Minecraft, and it is a rarely occurring phenomenon. It only has a 0.4875% chance of spawning naturally in the Java Edition. Coming the Bedrock Edition, the mob combination will only occur when a baby zombie hops onto a chicken while they are chasing any entity.

However, there is a workaround that you can use, i.e., to employ a command/cheat. To get started, you will have to change the world to creative mode, given that commands cannot be entered in the survival mode. You will then be able to enable the “Allow Commands” option, enabling you to spawn a Chicken Jockey in Minecraft.

Alternatively, when you are creating a new world inside the game, you will find the option to enable the “Allow Commands” option as part of the world creation page. This will enable you to enter the commands.

Once the commands are enabled, you can follow the steps outlined below:

  • Start by opening the chat window in Minecraft
  • Next, you must use the /summon command for Chicken Jockey.
  • The exact command that you must enter is “/summon chicken ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:zombie,IsBaby:1}]}”

The iconic Chicken Jockey will then spawn in Minecraft, and you will notice the baby zombie riding the chicken around. Apart from it, there are a few other jockeys that you will be able to find in Minecraft. The other naturally-spawning jockeys include spider jockeys (skeletons riding a spider), skeleton trap (skeletons riding skeleton horses), ravager rider (illager riding ravager), and a strider jockey (zombified piglin or a baby strider riding a strider).

This was all you need to know about spawning a Chicken Jockey in Minecraft, and you can now get the famous mob combination from “A Minecraft Movie” come to life in your in-game world.
