The Division 2 has received a new DLC called the Battle for Brooklyn, where you will get to complete an array of new missions and chapters. The goal is to protect Brooklyn from the Purple Flame-weilding Cleaners, making it quite an exciting new expansion for the title.
However, to be able to make the most of the Battle for Brooklyn DLC in the game, you will need to unlock it first. So if you are confused as to how you can’t start the expansion, then the guide below will be able to help you out.
Unlocking the Battle for Brooklyn DLC in The Division 2
The Battle for Brooklyn is the latest paid DLC that you will be able to enjoy in The Division 2. The expansion is the first one after the Warlords of New York, which dropped all the way back in 2020.
So to access the battle for Brooklyn, the first thing you will need to do is purchase the DLC itself. Once that is done, the next step is to boot into the title with a saved character. However, do keep in mind that when you are on the home screen, you will see that characters below level 40 are recommended to get a boost. This is because the recommended level to enjoy the DLC is at level 40.

You will be able to do this from within the game itself, after you have started a new story. So you will want to load into a save file and then head over to the main hub, which is in the White House in Washington, DC.
Once you are there, you will see a helicopter in front, and interacting with it will take you to the White House. You can also talk to the New York Pilot NPC if you wish to enjoy any other DLC that you have purchased in the game, like the Warlords of New York.
Once you have selected a DLC, you will then get a Boost option for your character if their level is below 40. If you do select the boost option, then the character you are picking will instantly get a level boost to 40 as soon as they drop into the DLC.
Apart from the level boost, your character will also get a set of High-End (Yellow) and Superior (Pink) gear. This is so that they can have an easier time surviving against the Purple Flame tech that the enemies come with. The enemies are capable of corroding your armor and then one-shotting you.
