The Trailblazer is one of the two vehicles that you will be able to use in Star Wars Outlaws. How you get to this ship is dramatic, so we won’t spoil the fun for you.
However, once you’ve acquired this ship and upgraded it, you’ll be able to navigate space and participate in dog fights as well. So, here’s how you can upgrade your ship in Star Wars Outlaws.
How to upgrade the Trailblazer in Star Wars Outlaws
To upgrade your ship, you’ll have to visit Ship Mechanic NPCs, who you will come across at all the major planets in the game.
These NPCs will conveniently be located near the landing zones itself, so you don’t have to hunt too much for them.
That said, here’s a list of all the upgradeable Ship parts in Star Wars Outlaws:
- Weaponry:
- Laser Cannons – Increases rate of fire.
- Rapid Fire Cannons – Fire a rapid burst at intervals.
- Plasburst Cannons – Charged cannon that shoots a damaging round.
- Launcher:
- Missiles – Deals damage to enemies; higher-tiers allow lock-on to targets.
- Torpedoes – Less maneuverable than missiles but have a larger explosion radius.
- Ion Missiles – Rounds capable of disabling enemy ships.
- Turrets:
- Laser Turrets – Automatically targets and shoots enemies when activated.
- Ion Turrets – Fires rounds capable of disabling enemy ships.
- Propulsion: Sublight Engines – Increases the ship’s speed during travel mode.
- Defenses: Deflector Shields – Upgrades that increase the shielding capacity.
- Hull: Duralloy Hulls – Improved durability and an added auto-repair function.
Of the mentioned upgrades, the Turret Upgrade is a special unlock, and the only way to get it is by completing Teeka’s questline on Tatooine.
He’s a special NPC, and this is the first reward that you get for completing his questline in Star Wars Outlaws. You’ll find him near the Sand Crawler on Tatooine.
Although Ubisoft didn’t explore much with the outer space segment in Star Wars Outlaws, the little that they’ve included is still fun and makes up for engaging gameplay.
