Star Wars Outlaws features a vast open world which is absolutely impossible to cover on foot because of the sheer time it takes.
While you’ll be able to explore outer space in the Trailblazer, you can explore the surface of a planet on your Speeder. So, here’s how you can upgrade this vehicle and make your exploration easier.
How to modify your Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws
Just like your ship, you’ll have to find Speeder Mechanic NPCs if you want to upgrade your Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws. These NPCs will have the icon of a scooter and a wrench below their names.
These NPCs can be found at almost every major planet in the game and they’ll upgrade your Speeder for you, should you have the parts required for the upgrade.
Here’s a list of the different Speeder upgrades that you will come across in the game:
- Engine: Moll K-19 Power Generator – Upgrades boost acceleration.
- Handling: Central Poise Steering System – Upgrades increase maximum turn angle and turning responsiveness.
- Armor: Duralumin Chassis – Increases damage resistance.
- Landing Repulsor: Standard Speeder Repulsor System – Upgraded variant reduces damage from hard landings and provides a short burst of speed for perfect landings.
- Speed Boost: Speeder Boost – This upgrade increases the top speed and reduces the Speeder ability cooldown.
- Jump Boost: Repulsion Blast Coil – Increases the height of the Jump Boost ability.
- Enhanced Repulsor: Speeder Surface Repulsor – Allows the speeder to travel across bodies of water; no upgrades are needed.
Of all the upgrades mentioned here the Jump Boost and the Enhanced Repulsor are special unlocks, that you will be able to access once you’ve completed the quests for Selo Revak also known as the Mechanic, on Mirogania, and Temim Wexley on Akiva.
These two upgrades will massively improve the performance of your Speeder, and the Enhanced Repulsor will also allow you to traverse water bodies in Star Wars Outlaws easily.
