New leaks are floating and hinting at Aurora, possibly the upcoming League of Legends champion. Aurora is a fresh face surfacing through various channels: data-mined details, whispers of leaks, and other related hints.
This red-haired female has caught the attention of many within the gaming community, with all signs pointing towards her imminent debut among the diverse array of champions in this popular MOBA.

Jumaralo Hex, a data miner, unveiled some enigmatic League of Legends characters’ icons on their X page on May 14, 2024. The new emotes were hidden within the file named “Spirit of the Hearth.”
Even though the emotes did not explicitly disclose any character’s name, the file itself was labeled “AURORA.” All signs seem to converge toward her introduction as the upcoming champion in League of Legends.
There is yet another hint to suggest her addition to the game: an AuroraMains subreddit was created on Reddit, although it remains locked from public view at present. When Riot Games designs a new champion, they typically pre-generate and reserve these subreddit names.

The potential upcoming champion in League of Legends, Aurora, has red hair, circular-framed glasses, and freckles on her cheeks; she is even dressed in a hoodie for extreme cold. In addition, she is shown jotting down notes on a small notepad.
The emote indicates her resemblance to a rabbit girl, similar to Ahri, who is depicted as a fox girl. Riot unveiled a Roadmap in October 2023, hinting at their new champions and specifically mentioning the introduction of a Vastayan solo laner. The title reads, “Running around before breakfast is tough.” The first letter of each word makes the word Rabbit.
Additionally, developers hinted that the new champion would be from the Freljord region.
Originally, the concept Riot had for Aurora was later used for Sylas. In one of the early character drafts for Sylas, he was also portrayed wearing glasses. Riot had initially envisioned a young female champion who was cute and fun-loving; however, Sylas’ abilities did not align with this design. As a result, the character underwent a complete visual overhaul.
Now, various hints and titbits suggest that soon we are going to be graced with a new champion in League of Legends. Although Aurora’s release date has not been revealed yet, we should get the information in a few months.
