Best League of Legends ADC champions to climb rank with

League of Legends 14.11 has seen a significant shift in the Bot Lane meta, with the best ADC champions having a much easier time climbing the ranked ladder.

The ones who are at the very top of the meta are seeing a considerably high win rate with the ability to have a strong Early-to-Mid and Late Game presence. The new item changes are synergizing well with their kits, making them some of the best picks to snowball with.

Below are the best ADC champions in League of Legends season 14 that will help you have an easier time climbing the competitive ladder in solo queue.

9 best meta ADC champions to climb rank with, in League of Legends 14.11

9) Lucian

Lucian

Lucian had been having a rather tough time at the start of season 14. However, recent changes and buffs to his core items have made him a viable pick in recent patches.

He is one of the harder ADCs to master in League of Legends. But once you get more familiar with his kit, Lucian can be a very rewarding pick that lets you easily climb up the ranked ladder.

There are also some build varieties that you can go for with him. Lucian’s traditional build favors Kraken Slayer, Navori Quickblades, and Rapid Firecannon. But you can even go for an alternate route that favors Essence Reaver and The Collector as the core.

Lucian has a great time in lane if he is paired with enchanter picks like Milio and Nami. Nami in particular is the more popular Support that payers pick with him. She allows Lucian to have great lane presence while helping him scale very well into the late game.

8) Vayne

Vayne best ADC to climb rank

The on-hit ADCs, especially Vayne, have been doing pretty well in season 14. Her build has more-or-less remained the same compared to the previous season, with the only addition being Terminus and Kaenic Rookern to her core itemization.

She continues to remain weak in the early stages of the game. However, with a few items under her belt, Vayne will be able to take over a teamfight as long as the enemy team is not focusing on you. The best Vayne build will let you shred tanks, while melting through the opposing carries.

Vayne should be one of your best choices to climb the ranked ladder this season. But she is a tad hard to master because of her short range. She needs to rely on proper positioning to dish out damage.

Fortunately, Enchanter supports pair really well with her. So if you are queuing up with a duo, make sure they pick champions like Lulu, Milio, or Karma. This will help you have an easier time in the lane and survive longer in a teamfight.

7) Sivir

Sivir

Hyper-carries are finally coming back to the League of Legends season 14 meta. The recent champion and item updates have helped Sivir quite a bit to climb up the competitive ladder and have a higher pick-and-ban rate.

While she has a weaker Early game compared to some of the other ADCs on the list, Sivir scales incredibly well into the Late Game. She can shred through minions and make it significantly harder for the enemy to siege the tower and other objectives.

She is also relatively easy to pick up. Sivir’s best ADC build path is simple, and there is a great bit of mobility and survivability that she gets with her kit. Sivir’s On the Hunt lets her and the allies around her get a boost in movement speed, while her Spell Shield blocks incoming CC.

She fits most team compositions and once her core items are done Sivir becomes a teamfighting powerhouse. Her range keeps her pretty safe, as you dish out damage from a distance. However, you will still need to learn how to properly position with her.

6) Nilah

Nilah gameplay guide

Nilah tops the damage charts in season 14 of Riot’s MOBA. She is by far the best ADC champion in the game when paired with a Senna as the duo comes with one of the highest carry and snowball potential.

However, Nilah is a bit tricky to master because of her “in your face” playstyle. Her kit is high-risk-high-reward and you will need to learn when to go in with your dashes and take over teamfights instead of dying instantly to the enemy back line.

While her core playstyle takes a fair bit of practice to get used to, Nilah’s best build in the current meta is incredibly rewarding and many consider her to be one of the better picks to climb the competitive ladder with. It’s difficult to deal with her in solo-queue and Nilah will often get away with poor aggressive plays if the enemy is not aware of how to deal with her.

Apart from Senna, she pairs really well with engaged supports like Rell, Leona, and Nautilus, so make sure you have a winning lane in the early game as playing Nilah from behind is not a fun experience.

5) Twitch

Twitch gameplay guide

Twitch’s position in the meta has remained unchanged since the previous patch. The mythic removal didn’t hurt him all that much and his on-hit build remains problematic to deal with the later a match goes.

Twitch is pretty weak early on, with his lack of mobility making him easier to gank. However, once you survive the early game, Twitch will be able to shred through the entire enemy frontline in a matter of seconds.

While positioning is key for the Plague Rat to dish out max DPS, Twitch’s “Spray and Pray” ultimate ability allows him some breathing room by extending his attack range, letting him hit enemies from half a screen away.

Twitch’s versatility lies in how you will be able to build AP items on him. Most of his abilities as well as his Passive scale incredibly well with ability power. So if you see that your team already has a lot of AD under their belt, Twitch will help you fill the role of an AP carry.

The best Twitch build for AP and AD playstyles makes the most of the item changes introduced in League of Legends season 14.

4) Kog’Maw

Kog'Maw

In terms of Late Game scaling, there are very few ADCs who can keep up with Kog’Maw. The Mouth of The Abyss keeps getting stronger the longer the game goes and even has the potential to start snowballing from the Early Game.

Kog’Maw’s build versatility allows him to go both AD and AP depending on the team composition he is up against. Both build varieties scale extremely well, and he can shred through tanks once he gets a few items under his belt. This is what makes Kog’maw one of the best ADC champions in the current meta.

However, the lack of mobility and his squishy nature make him a bit difficult to pilot in the higher ranks. Positioning with him is key and you will need a fair bit of practice before you get more comfortable with his kit.

But Kog’Maw is incredibly rewarding and his scaling offers room to go for tanky items that improve his sustainability. This will make him harder to kill in a skirmish, and you will have an easier time navigating around a fight and kiting away from the enemy engage.

3) Jinx

Jink

Jinx has made her way back into the Bot Lane meta after the recent patch. Crit ADCs were not doing too well in comparison to their Lethality counterparts which is why she wasn’t exactly a priority pick

Fortunately, for Jinx mains, she is now having a much easier time during the laning phase. As long as she is relevant in farm and XP, she will be able to very effectively scale into the late game.

As she is a hyper-carry Jinx is capable of melting through the enemy team when her build comes online. Her passive allows her to get a movement speed reset after every kill or assist, making her even harder to lock down.

However, Jinx is fairly immobile and squishy. She is prone to getting ganked quite a bit early which can set her back. So make sure you are playing safe and not over-pushing before you start completing her core items.

2) Jhin

Jhin gameplay guide

Lethality is broken in League of Legends season 14. It gives champions a significant amount of advantage early on allowing them to have an easier time snowballing through a match.

This is one of the reasons why champions like Jhin, who rely on Lethality items, are on the very top of the ADC meta. Building Youmuu’s Ghostblade into Hubris will let you start shredding through the enemy back line during a squirmish.

While Lethality’s impact falls off the later the game goes, Jhin is capable of introducing some critical chance into his build. The Collector, Infinity Edge, and Rapid Firecannon let him stay relevant all throughout the game, helping him snipe enemies from a distance.

Jhin can be a bit weak in the early game. However, he starts reaching his power spikes very early on. He is also quite poor at taking objectives, but, you can set up his traps in a way that makes it difficult for the enemy to sneak a Baron or Drake past your team.

1) Draven

Draven

Draven has slowly climbed up the ADC meta in recent patches. While he wasn’t doing all that well at the start of the season, he has steadily grown in popularity ever since.

The Glorious Executioner has been abusing both Lethality as well as Crit items for some time now. Draven’s build gives him a very powerful early to mid-game spike, letting him snowball games once he starts cashing in on his Adoration stacks.

He can take over games as soon as he gets early-game advantages. While he does tend to fall off a bit in the later stages, if played right he can force enemies to surrender at 15.

He pairs exceptionally well with engage supports who have a lot of CC and early-game damage. Picks like Leona, Nautilus, Pyke, and Blitzcrank will let him get an early advantage in lane. If you don’t get kills early, Draven can always push in the lane and secure tower plates.
