Best top laners in League of Legends Worlds 2024

League of Legends Worlds 2024 will feature some of the best top laners in the game going toe-to-toe. Top lane often brings out some of the most exciting moments in LoL esports and this year should be no different as the very best from the LPL, LCK, and more look to lead their team to win the biggest event of the year.

7 best top laners in League of Legends Worlds 2024

1) Bin

BLG Bin

Chen “Bin” Zhe-Bin is undeniably one of the best top laners in the world. He has maintained this status for well over three years now which is a testament to his consistency and growth. Bin continues to perform at an exceptional level in the LPL while being a key focus of Bilibili Gaming’s gameplan.

Bin’s ability to single-handedly carry games is a merit that is quite hard to find in many top laners. Bin is one of the best top laners at Worlds 2024, and his strong performances will be necessary if BLG wants a shot at lifting the trophy.

2) Kiin

Gen.G Kiin

Kim “Kiin” Gi-in has been the best top laner in the LCK this year by a wide margin. The veteran finally managed to win an LCK trophy after years of trying. While the Summer Playoffs didn’t go the way of Gen.G, Kiin is still one of the best, and most dangerous, top laners heading into Worlds 2024.

Kiin’s ability to set the rest of the team up for success while being able to pilot carry champions makes him an invaluable asset for Gen.G. While the MSI champions’ Golden Road dream is over, they are still one of the frontrunners to lift the Summoner’s Cup this year.

3) 369

TES 369

Bai “369” Jia-Hao did not have the best Summer Split this year in the LPL compared to his usual standards. Despite 369 and Top Esports’ shortcomings, he is still a formidable presence on the rift thanks to his wide champion pool and team fighting prowess.

Top Esports’ inconsistency will be a major focus point coming into Worlds 2024. If 369 can provide some much-needed stability to unlock the rest of the team, the LPL 2nd seed can be a major contender for the title.

4) Zeus

T1 Zeus

Defending world champion and Finals MVP, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, did not have the strongest showing in the LCK Summer Split. He had a myriad of poor performances and faced major consistency issues. However, Zeus’ peak as a top laner is undeniable and is arguably one of the best players in the world when he is in form.

T1 as a whole have looked quite shaky recently but this team always manages to show up at Worlds. This reason alone warrants Zeus a relatively high spot in this list considering his capabilities.

5) Doran

Hanwha Life Doran

Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon is the rock for Hanwha Life Esports. Doran’s presence and supportive nature allow teammates Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo and Park “Viper” Do-Hyeon to carry games often. To top it all of, Doran himself is capable of generating leads and snowballing games occasionally.

Doran has often struggled against better competition internationally. However, if he can reliably perform his role and provide a solid foundation for the rest of Hanwha Life, they can be considered as an early favorite to win Worlds 2024.

6) Zika

LNG Zika

Ever since making his debut in the LPL, Tang “Zika” Hua-Yu has steadily established himself as one of the premier top laners in the LPL. He bagged a spot in the 2nd All-Pro LPL team in the Summer Split and is one of the best top laners at Worlds 2024.

While Zika is not the focal point of LNG Esports’ gameplan as more resources are often funneled into Chen “GALA” Wei and Lee “Scout” Ye-chan. Much like Doran, Zika’s performance is essential to provide LNG some solid footing to take over games. LNG is not heavily favored to make a deep run at Worlds 2024 but Zika playing at his A-game could catapult LNG to the status of a dark horse.

7) Kingen

DK Kingen

The 2022 World Champion and Finals MVP, Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon rounds out the list of the best top laners in Worlds 2024. Dplus KIA had an up-and-down year but Kingen has been a consistent presence for the team, especially in the Summer Split

Kingen’s ability to show up clutch during big games is also an asset that can prove invaluable to Dplus KIA as they make their 6th consecutive appearance at Worlds. Kingen’s reliable form will be essential to help Dplus KIA secure a potential playoffs spot at the tournament.
