The League of Legends patch preview for 15.16 is now live, and there will be a plethora of balance changes hitting the Rift next week. One of the biggest highlights, however, is the buffs to Qiayana (mid/jungle), Sion (AD), and Sylas (Jungle).
Apart from this, nerfs will be making their way to picks like Shaco, Jarvan IV, Lulu, Trundle, and Yuumi. Adjustments, on the other hand, will be hitting Mordekaiser, Varus, Viego, and Warwick.
Below is a list of the changes that are expected to make their way to the Rift with LoL patch 15.16.
League of Legends patch 15.16 pre-notes
Before moving onto the list of changes, it’s important to note here that Riot will first be testing them out on the LoL PBE before officially shipping them with the 15.16 patch next week.
1) Champion Buffs
Brand
- [P] Blaze: Tick monster mod has been increased from 240 to 260 percent.
- [Q] Sear: Stun duration has been increased from 1.5 to 1.75.
- [R] Pyroclasm: Cooldown has been decreased from 110-90 to 100-80.
Gnar
- [Q] Boomerang Throw/Boulder Toss: Cooldown has been reduced from 20-10 to 16-10.
Illaoi
- [P] Prophet of an Elder God
- Total AD ratio has been increased from 105 to 110 percent.
- Cooldown has been decreased from 20-7.25 to 18-7.
Kalista
- AD growth has been increased from 4 to 4.25.
- [E] Rend
- E1 AP ratio has been increased from 20 to 65 percent.
- E2 AP ratio has been increased from 20 to 50 percent.
Master Yi
- Master Yi’s Alpha Strike works with Kraken Slayer and Terminus.
Morgana
- [W] Tormented Shadow
- Minimum DPS has been increased from 12-56 + 17 percent AP to 14-70 + 20 percent AP.
- Maximum DPS has been decreased from 32.4-151.2 + 45.9 percent AP to 28-140+ 40 percent AP.
Nautilus (Jungle)
- [E] Riptide: Monster mod has been changed from 1.5x damage to 125-285 +50 percent AP damage on the first hit.
Qiyana (Jungle/Mid)
- [Q] Edge of Ixtal: Damage has been increased from 60-180 to 70-190.
- [W] Terrashape: Bonus attack speed has been increased from 5-25 percent to 15-35 percent.
Rek’sai
- Base AD has been increased from 58 to 62.
Singed
- [Q] Poison Trail
- No longer deals less damage to champions on the red side.
- Debuff refresh rate has been reduced from 0.5 to 0.25 seconds.
Sion (AD)
- [P] Glory in Death: Base health cost per tick has been decreased from 2.3-24.4 to 2-19.
- [E] Roar of the Slayer: Armor reduction has been increased from 20 to 25 percent.
- [R] Unstoppable Onslaught: Bonus AD ratio has been increased from 40-80 percent to 60-120 percent.
Sylas (Jungle)
- Passive now deals 150 percent damage to monsters.
Zyra
- [E] Grasping Roots: Cooldown has been decreased from 12 to 11.
- [R] Stranglethorns: Damage has been increased from 180-350 to 200-400.
When talking about the Champion Buffs, Riot states,
“When the game is in a pretty balanced state, we’re particularly interested in getting champions into multiple roles (in a way that doesn’t break the game) that can add a bit of freshness back. Things like Nautilus Jungle, AD Morde, Viego mid (a bit more speculative), Qiyana Jungle, Sylas jungle, AD Sion, etc. These opportunities are often hard to prioritize when we need to put balance fires out. At the same time, we need to be a bit careful of over-correcting; most of this sentiment is coming from people who play League for most of the day (streamers, high ELO players) and will be quite vocal. We need to be mindful of regular players too, who don’t play as often and have communicated to us that they are more sensitive to the rate of change.”
2) Champion Nerfs
Jarvan IV
- Armor Growth has been reduced from 5.2 to 4.6.
Lulu
- [E] Help, Pix!
- Cooldown has been increased from 8 to 10-8.
- Damage has been decreased from 80-240 to 70-230.
- Shield 80-240+55 percent AP to 70-230+ 50 percent AP.
Nocturne
- Armor Growth has been reduced from 4.7 to 4.2.
- [Q] Duskbringer: Bonus AD has been reduced from 20/30/40/50/60 to 15/25/35/45/55.
Rell
- [W] Ferromancy: Shield has been reduced from 20/40/60/80/100 (+13 percent max HP) to 20/40/60/80/100 (+11 percent max HP).
Shaco
- [P] Backstab: Bonus AD ratio has been reduced from 30 percent to 25 percent.
- [Q] Deceive
- Bonus AD ratio has been reduced from 65 to 60 percent.
- Cooldown has been increased from 12-10 to 13-11.
Trundle
- [W] Frozen Domain
- Attack speed has been reduced from 30-110 to 30-90 percent.
- Cooldown has been increased from 16-12 to 18-14.
Xin Zhao
- Health has been decreased from 640 to 620.
- Base damage per hit has been reduced from 20/35/50/65/80 to 15/30/45/60/75.
Yuumi
- [Q] Prowling Projectile: Empowered damage has been reduced from 80-380 to 80-355.
- [W] You and Me!
- Heal/Shield power has been reduced from 5-15 percent to 4-8 percent.
- On-hit heal has been reduced from 3-11+ 4 percent AP to 3-7+ 3 percent AP.
3) Champion Adjustments
Mordekaiser (AD)
- [Q] Obliterate: Bonus AD ratio has been increased from 0 to 120 percent.
Rumble
- [Q] Flamespitter
- No longer deals less damage to champions on the red side.
- Maximum damage has been changed from three seconds to 3.5 seconds.
- Deals damage to untargetable enemies if already debuffed.
- Deals damage to enemies 700+ away if already debuffed.
- Damage per 3 seconds has been reduced from 60-180+110 percent AP+ 6-9.2 percent target max HP to 60-180+100 percent AP+ 6-8 percent target max HP.
- [R] The Equalizer
- No longer deals less damage to champions on the red side.
- Ultimate zone is more responsive.
- Ultimate zone now is consistently 4.5 seconds across the whole zone.
Varus (Lethality vs. On-hit)
- [Q] Piercing Arrow: Max damage has been reduced from 90-370 to 80-360.
- [W] Blighted Quiver: On-hit damage has been increased from 6-30 to 6-38.
- [E] Hail of Arrows: 60-220+ 100 percent bonus AD to 60-180+ 90 percent bonus AD.
Viego (Jungle vs. Mid)
- Attack speed growth has been changed from 2.5 to 2.25.
- [Q] Blade of the Ruined King
- Damage has been increased from 15-75 to 25-85.
- Crit Multi has been reduced from 100 to 75 percent.
- Bonus Monster Damage has been reduced from 15 to 0.
- Mark Minion Healing has been changed from 50 to 100 percent.
- Mark Monster Healing has been changed from 145 to 125 percent.
- Mark Champion Healing has been changed from 145 to 125 percent.
Warwick (Top vs. Jungle)
- Base AD has been increased from 60 to 65.
- [P] On-hit damage has been changed from 12-46 to 6-46.
4) System Adjustments
Experimental Hexplate: Overdrive
- Attack speed has been decreased from 50 to 30 percent.
- Move speed has been increased from 15 to 20 percent.
Baron Nashor
- HP5 per minute has been changed from 1.875 to 0.
- Base HP has been increased from 11,500 to 11,800.
- HP per minute has been increased from 180 to 190.
