T1 Rekkles slams G2 and Fnatic, says “The villains are within the region I abandoned”

Carl Martin Erik “Rekkles” Larsson is currently a part of the T1 Esports academy, and is one of the best players to have graced Riot’s MOBA. However, he recently opened up about the organisations that he was previously a part of, slamming them on social media.

This accusation that the League of Legends star has levied against his former organisations, has opened a can of worms, and everyone is talking about how teams within the region have treated popular players in the past.

In a viral post on X, Rekkles said,

“G2 not only benched me at the end of 2021 during the 1st year of my 3 year contract, but they also made sure that under no circumstances would I go to another LEC team for egoistic reasons (financial / easier competition). KC saved me and also did everything they could to help me get back to LEC at the end of 2022 (removing buyout if I agreed to not receive half of my salary for that year). FNC then in turn decided to bench me after 4 months of my 2 year contract, trying to get me out after a few weeks already (failing to do so at an earlier time). T1 saved me once again and is doing everything they can to not only support me during a continuous tough period of my life, but also help me as much as they can to make sure 2025 is a good situation for me. The villains were / are within the region I ‘abandoned’.”

Fans on Reddit sympathised with Rekkles and said that the teams in the region needed better management.

An individual said, “EUW is full of villains, and not just in soloqueue. Poor Rekkles,” while another added, “I hate this region holy hell. Fire all the managers.”

A third individual pointed out that Rekkles was indeed grateful to everything that KC had done for him so far. They said, “We even knew how grateful he was to T1 and KC from his Livestreams and Caedrel interview.”

Although this tweet was in response to the accusations that were made against Rekkles, it has revealed, what looks to be a major flaw within the region with respect to team management.
