Sword of Convallaria is the latest sensation in the gacha community. It brings a combination of tactical tile-based gameplay with an art style representing classic JRPGs.

The gacha mechanics of Sword of Convallaria can get rather confusing. So this article will go over everything you need to know about the system before you decide to use your precious resources for summoning.

How does the gacha mechanic work in Sword of Convallaria

Sword of Convallaria’s gacha system is unique compared to most other mainstream titles. Below you can find an explanation of all banners in the game, how the pity works, and more.

Banners in Sword of Convallaria

Swords of Convallaria have four types of banners where you can use your precious currencies to try and summon legendary heroes. Below you can find a list of all of the available ones in the game.

  • Standard banner: Contains all the Legendary heroes in the game. After their official release, newer characters will be immediately added to this banner.
  • Weapon banner: You can get any legendary weapon the game currently has by pulling on this banner.
  • Dual banner: Two units that were previously introduced in the game will be on rate-up. You are guaranteed to get any one of them on hitting pity.
  • Debut banner: Any new characters introduced to the game’s roster will be available on a rate-up in this banner. You will receive them on hitting the pity.

There is also an beginner banner, but it will expire once you complete 30x summons.

Pity System and drop rates in Sword of Convallaria

Beginner banner sword of convallaria

The pity system of this game is quite different compared to mainstream gachas like Wuthering Waves or any HoYoverse titles. Unlike a traditional 50/50 system, Sword of Cornavallia allows you to obtain up to two characters in its full pity of 180. Let’s take a look at how the pity works in the game.

  • You can hit pity twice in 180 pulls. The first will be at 100 and the next at 180.
  • The first pity hit does not guarantee the rate-up characters, but the second hit does.
  • While pulling on the dual banners there is no guarantee that you will receive the hero you want. It is always up to a coin toss on which rate-up character you will receive
  • The pity resets after you hit a total of 180 summons
  • Pity will carry over to the next banner when the current one ends.

Now let’s take a look at the drop rates of characters

  • Legendary hero: 2% probability
  • Epic hero: 20% probability
  • Rare hero: 40% probability
  • Common hero: 38% probability

Here are the rate chart for the weapons in Sword of Convallaria

  • Legendary weapon: 5% probability

  • Common weapon: 20% probability

Beginner gacha guide for Sword of Convallaria

  • Start by using your free pulls on the beginner banner. It will take only 30 summons to set you up with one legendary hero at the start of your journey.
  • Always use your currency on the Debut banner.
  • Do not attempt to roll on the Dual banner unless it contains two of the heroes whom you want.
  • Only pull on weapon banners if you have enough currency.

That covers everything you will need to know about the gacha system of Sword of Convallaria.
