The best Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered money farm exploit nets you 500,000 Gold every hour

Be it real life or The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered, the money is never really enough! Luckily, in the latter, getting your hands on Gold is not an arduous task if you’re a smart trader.

Players have already discovered some overpowered methods to level up, duplicate items, and progress in the remastered version of the iconic RPG. And below, we’ve explained one such method that can help you collect over 500,000 Gold within one hour of grinding.

Of course, these methods or any other exploit for that matter is not about enjoying the game. These are repetitive processes that you purely do to boost your progress and yes, they are never true to the essence of the game.

Best Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion money-farming technique

Discovered by YouTuber Kibbles Gaming (video embedded below), this money-farming technique is best suited to be attempted in the Market District of the Imperial City.

There are plenty of vendors in the area that sell you items that can be used for alchemy (creating potions). These include the Merchants Inn, The Feed Bag, and Gilded Carafe.

Based on how much money you have and your Alchemy levels, buy ingredients. In the beginning, you’d want to stack up on items that cost just 2 Gold as all of them mostly have the Restore Fatigue effect, making it easier to turn them into potions.

Now, go to your inventory and select a Mortal & Pestle to process your ingredients. You’d want to combine items that have the similar effect (showcased on the bottom left corner of the menu). When you start, Restore Fatigue is the easiest effect to find as it is granted by most items.

Once you’ve made enough potions, head to The Main Ingredients shop in the city and talk to the vendor Ogier Georick. Persuade him using the Disposition skill (check out dedicated guide on how to improve disposition) and get the persuasion level as high as possible. Now, haggle to find the best value of your products and all there’s left to do is to sell Ogier the potions.

This is the first rotation of this method. Go out of the shop, open the map, and press the hotkey for waiting (T on PC and you can check for console through the bar on the bottom of the map). Wait for three in-game days (you can wait for 24 hours in one go so repeat the process three times) because the stocks in all the shops refresh after this duration.

Now, it’s time to repeat the entire thing, starting from buying raw materials from other vendors. Then, when you make potions, use the Filter option on the top and select one effect to quickly create potions.

While the process essentially remains the same, your Mercantile and Alchemy skills play a huge role in the payout. The quality and price of your potions gets better with Alchemy and Mercantile ensures that you’re always getting the best deal.

Alongside this, you can focus on improving the quality of your Mortal & Pestle too and getting the best deals possible. And, whenever the shops don’t have stock, just wait for three in-game days using the feature on the map.

We’ll reiterate that this is not how the game intends you to make money but it’s a harmless exploit for anyone who’s not willing to go through the standard grind.
