With Wuthering Waves finally getting its official release there are many in the community who are wondering if the RPG features cross-saving as well as cross-platform play. The short answer to this is, Yes, and Wuthering Waves does indeed come with both these features.
So if you are a player who likes to consistently switch between mobile and PC then you are in luck. Kuro Games’ latest title will help you seamlessly pick up from where you left off even if you change devices and also play with a friend who is on a different platform.
However, the crossplay and cross-saving systems in Wuthering Waves come with a few nuances. There are a few limitations to the feature that we would like to point out below.
Crossplay and Cross-saving limitations in Wuthering Waves
The limitations of the systems are from the server side according to the official FAQ. This means that the cross-save feature will only work if you are playing on the same server when shifting devices.
So if you are playing on the European servers on your PC and decide to shift to the North American servers on mobile, the saves will not transfer. You will be forced to start a new game when you change servers.
Hence, if you are looking to continue with the same save you will need to go back to the European servers on your mobile.
Additionally, you will not be able to co-op with your friends if you are on different servers. Make sure that they have their profiles made in the same region that you are in. Picking a different region will not allow crossplay.
How to change servers in Wuthering Waves
If you have accidentally picked the wrong server in Wuthering Waves, then you can simply change it by:
- Making your way to the launch menu
- Look for the server tab
- Then just switch to the region where you have already made some progress or your friends are playing on.
Will Wuthering Waves’ cross-platform and cross-save features be available on consoles?
While Kuro Games have revealed that Wuthering Waves will be coming to consoles as well as Mac in the near future, it’s hard to say if they will feature the same crossplay and cross-save feature.
Hopefully, Kuro Games will come up with a way that will let players seamlessly transition between as well as play across all the platforms that the open-world RPG will be available on.
