Dell’s XPS 13 series has always been of major interest in the laptop space, and the 2024 iteration of the XPS 13 does not disappoint. This year’s model brings with it a significantly upgraded Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor – boasting enhanced performance and battery life.

Dell’s new XPS 13 laptops arrive in India, powered by Intel’s second generation Core Ultra processors
The XPS 13 is Dell’s compact powerhouse in the XPS family of productivity laptops. This newest generation of XPS brings with it many improvements over prior generations, the key standout features of which include:
- An Intel Core Ultra Series 2 CPU, which powers the heart of the machine
- A dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), with up to 48 TOPS of processing power for AI enhanced activities
- The world’s first laptop to feature a tandem OLED display for enhanced visual acuity and battery life
- Up to 26 hours of battery life on a single charge with these enhancements in place
Two of the biggest changes include the addition of the Series 2 Core Ultra CPU and a tandem OLED display.
The second generation of the Intel Core Ultra CPUs bring with them many changes and marked improvements, in both efficiency and performance fonts – bringing it in line with both Apple Silicon and Snapdragon X Elite chipsets, coupled with the added advantage of being based on the x86 platform.
Perhaps the biggest improvement is in terms of battery life, which now lasts well over a day with moderate use.
The second upgrade is the addition of a tandem OLED display. This allows the laptop to produce breathtaking visuals, all while consuming lower power compared to previous generations.
Consequently, the XPS 13 (2024) now weighs just 1.2 Kg and possesses a 14.8 mm width making it the most portable laptop from Dell thus far. This is complemented by an aluminium chassis that is also composed of recycled materials to help sustain a greener future.
