Metaphor ReFantazio releases for both the PC and console on October 11, 2024 and brings with it rather modest system requirements. This fantasy JRPG from Atlus features stylized visuals and turn-based combat much akin to the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series.
To help players prepare for the game’s eventual release, Atlus has shared a detailed list of PC system requirements which will be elaborated on further below.

- CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 or an AMD FX 6300
- RAM: 6 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce 750 Ti (4 GB VRAM) or an AMD Radeon R7 360 (4 GB VRAM). The Intel Arc A310 (4 GB VRAM) is recommended for minimum spec Intel Arc GPUs
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 93 GB
- Expected visuals and performance: 720p at 30 frames per second

- CPU: Intel Core i5 7600 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, or newer
- RAM: 8 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (4 GB VRAM) or an AMD Radeon Rx 480 (4 GB VRAM). The Intel Arc A380 (4 GB VRAM) is recommended for Intel Arc GPUs or newer
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 93 GB minimum
- Expected visuals and performance: 1080p at 60 frames per second
As always, a fast, NVMe based SSD is recommended for playing the game. While HDDs and SATA-based SSDs are technically compatible with the game, players may experience long loading times and stutters with slower storage.
Additionally, a CPU with the AVX instruction set is required in order to be able to launch the game. Most modern CPUs should fulfill this requirement.
Metaphor ReFantazio does not seem to be particularly demanding, going by its system requirements – which should allow it to easily run on a variety of low-power systems, such as the Steam Deck.
