It’s basically a melee weapon, which you can use to deflect incoming enemy attacks. You can also use it to restrain enemies. However, it’s best use is to secure your cargo whenever you’re traveling in Death Stranding 2.
To use this item:
- First, drop your backpack on the ground. Pressing and holding the triangle button is the default way to do this.
- Now, hold the right d-pad and pull up your radial menu.
- Keep navigating till you find Strand, and select it.
- After you’ve done so, all you need to do is aim at your backpack, and you will receive the option to tie your cargo. Just press the button prompt on the screen and you’re good to go.
Yes, this will help you secure your items, but it’s still not a safe method and will not protect your cargo from damage in Death Stranding 2.
In case you fall multiple times, the Strand will break and your cargo will scatter. So, no matter how well you secure the items you’re carrying on your back or on your vehicles, you will still need to be careful with it in Death Stranding 2.
