With around 95 weapons being introduced in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree you might be wondering what the new best-strength weapons are in the DLC. There is a lot that the expansion offers along with new weapon categories.
There is more build variety than ever, and strength players will have a field day with some of the new weapons that have made their way to th Land of Shadow.
Here is a list of some of the best strength weapons that you will find in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.
5 best strength weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
1) Gazing Finger

Gazing Finger is amazing at clearing the general content in the RPG. What makes it such a special pick is its Ash of War Kowtower’s Resentment.
When you use the skill, you make the finger bow with its foremost protrusion. Resentment builds up inside the weapon as you are forcing it to bow, and then it will explode in an AoE doing massive damage.
The more you charge the skill, Resentment will keep building up and increase the blast radius once you release it. The weapon is amazing at clearing out mobs. It scales primarily with strength but putting points in Int and Faith can help make its Ash of War more powerful as well.
Its normal skills and heavy attacks have good stagger values, and you can use it to bonk your way through the land of shadow.
You obtain this weapon while completing Count Ymir’s questline where you face the optional boss Metyr. You use the boss Remembrance to get the Gazing Finger.

2) Smithscript Greathammer

What makes this weapon one of the best strength weapons in Shadow of the Erdtree is how it provides you with a ranged option. The weapon has a passive that lets you fling it at an enemy when you are executing a strong attack or a dashing strong attack. It will then come back to you after it reaches the furthest point.
If you charge it up it will go through and hit multiple enemies in a line, and deal a ton of damage if can properly build around it. Just make sure you have the Smithing Talisman equipped to make the most of the weapon throw.
The base weapon has good scaling with both Dex and Strength, however, if you make it Heavy, the Strength scaling will go up to A.
You will find the Smithscript Greathammer in the Shadowkeep. You will need to use the giant platform in the middle of the area to jump on the other side. Then keep heading forward till you spot a blob of fire on the left which seems to be guarding an item. Defeat th e blob and pick up the item to get the weapon.

3) Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword

The Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is a Colossal Sword that comes with great strength and arcane scaling. It has the same movesets as the weapons of its category, but what makes it one of the best strength weapons in the game is the gap close that it offers.
Colossal Weapons are usually very slow and will force you to chase your target down if they are very mobile. Often making you spam jump attacks over and over again as a gap-close tool.
However, the Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword’s White Light Charge Ash of War will summon a white light from the meteoric ore of the weapon. You will then charge forward at the enemy and pierce them with the attack. Any additional inputs will make the stored charge explode in small AoE. The move is very fast with high stagger potential and will see a lot of uses in both PvE and PvP.
You will get the weapon after examining the altar of the Ruined Forge in Starfall Past. You will find the pace on the second level, but to reach the alter you will first need to pull the lever to raise the iron door.
You can then use it as a platform to jump onto the second level to access the altar.

4) Horned Warriors Greatsword

Much like with the Gazin Finger, the Horned Warriors Greatswords’ strength lies in its Ash of War. The weapon in itself is a Curved Greatsword with standard movements, so players who use that category of strength weapons will feel right at home.
The weapon’s Ash of War is called Horn Calling: Sorm which covers the weapon in horns and and then conjures a storm around it. It drastically extends the reach of the weapon and you will be able to mow down enemies in a large AoE.
Additional inputs from after channeling the AoE will let you do up to two follow-up attacks. It’s great at clearing out swarms of enemies in Legacy Dungeons.
You will be able to obtain this weapon as a drop from the various Horned Warriors that you will find while exploring the Land of Shadow.

5) Greatsword of Radahn (Light)

The Greatsword of Radahn (Light) is going to be a very popular PvP strength weapon in Elden Ring. It has the same movesets as the base Radahn Greatsword, however, what makes it incredibly potent in 1v1 scenarios is the Ash of War Lightspeed Slash.
When activated you will take on the form of light and then leap forward to perform a downward slash. The move comes out extremely fast and will execute additional light slashes in an AoE as a follow-up.
Charging the skill further will increase the number of follow-up attacks that come out. This attack will be very hard to dodge away from which is likely why its popularity is going to be rather high amongst Strength players.
You will be able to obtain this weapon after beating Promised Consort Radahn who is the final boss of the DLC.
