Bishui Caves are the final secret area that you will come across in Black Myth: Wukong. Unlike all the other secret areas, getting to this is slightly difficult because you’ll have to engage and defeat multiple bosses to get here.
Completing the secret area will reward you with a lot of handy items including crafting goodies and curios. So, here’s everything you need to know about the Bishui cave secret area.
How to unlock Bishui Cave secret area in Black Myth: Wukong
To unlock the Bishui Cave secret area, you’ll have to track down and defeat five different war carts in the Flaming Mountain region in Black Myth: Wukong.
However, before you start hunting down these carts, you’ll have to talk to one of the NPCs in the region known as the Pale-Axe Stalwart.
Where to find the Pale-Axe Stalwart
When you first reach the area, you’ll find the Pale-Axe Stalwart on the main path that leads straight from the Woods of Ember- Ashen Pass I shrine.
Before you get to talk to him however, you will have to defeat him in combat. Once you’ve beaten him, he’ll task you with finding the five Element Carts.
Where to find Element Carts in Black Myth: Wukong
- Brown Iron Cart – Camp of Seasons, past the point where you met the Pale-Axe Stalwart.
- Gray Bronze Cart – Height of Ember, inside a cave with a narrow passageway at the end.
- Third cart – Valley Entrance, this is the only cart that is already destroyed and can be found inside the underground cavern.
- Crimson Silver Cart – The Emerald Hall, keep going up the slope after you’ve finished the Keeper of the Flaming Mountains boss fight.
- Rusty Gold Cart – Near the large ice doorway at the Cooling Slope. Defeating this cart will give you access to Bishui Caves.
It’s worth noting that most of these carts can be found as you progress through the main storyline only, so they’re very hard to miss.
It’s also worth noting that whenever you defeat one of the carts, make sure you talk to the Pale-Axe Stalwart and exhaust his dialogue. You’ll find him waiting near these cart locations only. After you’ve defeated the first four carts, you’ll find a gravely injured Pale-Axe Stalwart near the Cooling Slope.
When you defeat the Rusty Gold Cart, he’ll open the doorway to the Bishui Caves and will turn into ash. Before progressing further, make sure to collect the Flame Orb curio.
How to complete the Bishui Caves secret area in Black Myth: Wukong
To complete the secret area, you’ll have to ensure that you defeat the two main bosses within the Bishui Caves. These bosses are:
- Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top
- Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast
There’s an optional Bull Governor elite fight that you can completely avoid, but you shouldn’t because completing the fight will let you access the Bull Governor spirit form.
The Golden-Eyed Beast boss fight is a complicated one because he has an array of attacks at his disposal. From spewing flames to tossing fiery rocks, this is one of the most difficult fights in the game.
