It can be rather tricky to pick the right server when starting your journey in Throne and Liberty which is why the game will let you transfer servers after you have created your initial account.
You will want to transfer servers to a different region if your friends are playing there or if you feel that you will get lesser latency in a different one. Here is everything you need to know about transferring servers in the MMO.
Limited free server transfer explained in Throne and Liberty
After you have initially created your account and logged into the game you will be able to claim up to two free server transfer tickets per day. These tickets will be available from 26 September 2024, when the early access goes live till October 17, 2024.
However, do keep in mind that once you claim the tickets, they will expire after 24 hours. This is enforced to prevent players from stockpiling them.
During this free period, you will be able to translate eligible realms as many times as you want as long as you have the tickets. There will also be no transfer cooldown period during this time.
Moreover, you will only be able to transfer to a server as long as there are free slots. You will also not be able to transfer back to a server you were once in if all the free slots have been used up there.
After October 17, 2024, server transfers can only be done with the use of transfer tickets. Transfer tickets can be acquired by purchasing them through Lucent and once a server transfer is done after the free period the feature will be subjected to a 30-day cooldown.
Server transfers for Early Access players
When Throne and Liberty gets its full launch on October 1, 2024, Early Access players will be temporarily restricted from moving out of the Early Access Servers and into Launch Servers.
However, players on Full Launch Servers will have the option to transfer to Early Access or other Full Launch Servers based on space availability. The developers will eventually remove the Early Access tag from servers and allow players from there to move to any other server.
Server Population Caps explained in Thone and Liberty
During both Early Access and Full Launch, the Throne and Liberty Servers will have a maximum capacity of characters that it can hold. If the number of players trying to log in exceeds the total capacity of the server, then players are likely going to face a very long queue time.
Hence, to mitigate this, the developers will be locking high-population servers preventing any new characters from being created there. Only existing characters will be able to log in to these servers, however, the lock will lift if the population in the servers decreases.
