Monster Hunter Wilds PC system requirements

Monster Hunter Wilds is the newest instalment in the Monster Hunter franchise, and is set as a sequel to 2018’s Monster Hunter World. This action adventure monster slaying adventure will be released for both PC and consoles.

To this extent, developer Capcom has released an extensive set of PC system requirements to help gamers prepare (and upgrade) their machines before the game ultimately releases on February 28, 2025 worldwide.

Inflated PC system requirements for Monster Hunter Wilds might be indicative of a mediocre port

Monster Hunter Wilds PC system requirements

The PC system requirements for Wilds seem to be rather excessive, given that the game demands an RTX 2070 Super for 1080p60 gameplay, at Medium settings with frame generation enabled.

The CPU requirements do seem rather tame in comparison though, but the high GPU requirement has me worried about the game’s general optimization – especially when taking into consideration that the game does not seem to break any visual boundaries, and Capcom’s recent track record with respect to PC ports doesn’t bolster enough confidence either.
