The second episode in the post Light vs Darkness saga segment in Destiny 2 is being called Revenant and will be available in the month of October.
Apart from a brand new dungeon, this new episode will feature a new storyline, a new Exotic mission and some new mechanics that have never been seen before in the game.
So, here’s everything you need to know about this new episode including its release date and other details.
Destiny 2 Episode Revenant start and end date
As mentioned on the official Bungie website, Destiny 2 Episode Revenant is set to go live on October 5, 2024 and will run until February 2025.
The release time for the new Episode for all regions is as follows:
- Pacific Time (PT): 10 AM
- Eastern Time (ET): 1 PM
- British Summer Time (BST): 6 PM
- Central European Summer Time (CEST): 7 PM
- Indian Standard Time (IST): 10:30 PM
- Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST): 3 AM (Next Day)
These episodes are longer than the seasonal structure that we’ve seen before and will last for around 4 months.
Episode Revenant seasonal storyline
The new Episode will revolve around Fikrul, the Fanatic, one of the five Scorn Barons. We encountered this individual previously in the Forsaken expansion, and he was also mentioned in the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon.
The season will also have a Vampire theme, as suggested by the name, but to what extent this theme will be involved in the new storyline remains to be seen.
That aside, Bungie will also release multiple weapons and armor pieces are heavily inspired from Gothic theme and Vampire hunter lore.
Revenant Dungeon release date
Destiny 2 Episode Revenant will also see the arrival of a brand new Dungeon on October 11, 2024 exactly a week after the new episode goes live.
This is the first time that a Dungeon will also feature a contest mode which has been reserved for Raids so far.
This contest mode will be applicable for the first 48 hours but Bungie is yet to reveal if there any special rewards for those who manage to complete the activity within the set time.
For the Exotic weapon reward, Bungie is reprising a popular Sniper from Destiny 1, called the Ice Breaker. The developers have, however, kept additional details about this dungeon under wraps.
