Runescape Dragonwilds is an early access game for the PC, building upon the continent of Ashenfall, a mystical, long forgotten place. While the game looks great, it isn’t particularly demanding as far as its PC specs go.
Regardless, there do exist a set of PC settings presets that offer an additional boost in performance against a minimal hit to image quality. These settings can be found listed below.
Optimized Runescape DragonWilds PC settings

As far as the settings menu is concerned, Runescape Dragonwilds doesn’t have a lot to tweak, at least in terms of visual quality. This would normally be an issue, but since the game is currently in early access, it gets a pass.
Regardless, here are the best settings for the game:
- Quality: High; the High preset is mostly enough for most use cases
- Frame Rate Limit: Dynamic; keep this at dynamic to allow for uncapped frame rates
- Resolution: 1920×1080; set to your monitor’s native resolution
- Upscaling Mode: DLSS/AMD FSR; DLSS is exclusive to the RTX series of Nvidia GPUs
- Display Mode: Fullscreen; unless you need Windowed mode stick to this
- Sharpness: 4; user preference
- Frame Generation: Off; best to keep disabled to prevent additional latency
- VSync: Off; always keep disabled
- Sprint Mode (Gameplay): Off; user preference
With the combination of settings above, you can expect Runsescape Dragonwilds to perform at an average of 60 frames per second, assuming you meet the minimum PC system requirements.
Frame Generation should be disabled if you run the game well below 60 FPS, as it introduces additional latency. Even with a high frame rate, the ghosting and input delay brought about by frame generation might not make it worth the compromise.
Feel free to use these settings as a template. Experiment and shuffle around the presets to reach an acceptable compromise between image quality and performance.
