Like any good RPG shooter, Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 features a variety of bosses to face off against, with some being quite a fair bit more challenging to deal with. The toughest bosses in Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 require finesse and skill to deal with – ranging from your typical monsters to even Heretics.
A list of 5 such bosses can be found detailed below, within the game’s rather excellent campaign.
The toughest Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 bosses
1) Hellbrute

The Hellbrute is a twisted abomination, born from a Space Marine Dreadnought. This alternative Chaos Dreadnought houses a Heretic Astartes inside, combined with cybernetic implants and a Mind Impulse Unit, which drives the Space Marine inside it to insanity.
Found within the Chaos Operations and within Demerium, they can be quite challenging foes. The Hellbrute charges at players with incredible ferocity, bringing both melee and ranged attacks into the mix.
The boss has a wide reach for its attacks, and is quite persistent.
2) Carnifex

The Carnifex can be one of the most difficult bosses you can face off against in Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2’s campaign. Resembling a giant armored, scaly tetrapod, the Carnifex can deal a ton of damage with alarming speed. What makes this fight all the more challenging are the minions that spawn while you attempt to take down the boss.
The boss cannot be parried, and spews acidic vomit at players. Ranged weapons are highly recommended.
3) Helldrake

The Helldrake is the last boss of the ‘Reliquary Operation’, and resembles a dragon of sorts. More accurately described as a winged ‘Daemon Engine of Chaos’, this particular foe will attempt to thwart the player’s advance – often drowning entire sections in flames.
Once you reach the Helldrake though, it will never opt to attack directly – instead, choosing to send the Chaos Soldier minions after you. To make matters worse, the drake also periodically engulfs the arena in flames, forcing you to be quick on your feet in order to avoid a painful death.
4) Hive Tyrant

The Hive Tryant can be encountered during the ‘Decapitation Operation’, and is a giant Tyranid who serves as the commander of the Tyranid swarms. They possess a synaptic link with the Hive Mind, which confers them additional strength and ferocity in battle.
The Hive Tryant can be quite agile, opting to use its blade to take down players – in addition to using ranged, psychic blasts.
The boss battle is exceptionally difficult thanks to its regenerative capabilities.
5) Imurah

The final boss of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 is Imurah of Tzeentch. This Chaos Sorcerer has multiple, separate fights, with the last fight being arguably the most difficult boss in the entire game.
Imurah can make use of Warp Abilties, opting to fly down at players from above, shooting them with deadly energy projectiles in the process. He can also summon a Lord of Change to further aggravate players, mandating precise inputs and a test of patience for most players.
