Harry Potter Quidditch Champions complete Chaser guide

Unlike the Seeker, the Chaser is a much simpler role to master in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions. Their primary playstyle revolves around scoring points with the Quaffle by throwing them through one of the three rings that the enemy is guarding and helping their Keeper defend their own rings by tackling the enemy Chaser and stealing the Quaffle from them.

Chaser is one of the basic roles in Quidditch Champions, and our guide goes over everything that you need to know about them.

How to play offense as a Chaser in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

The Chaser provides one of the key win conditions by scoring points with the Quaffle. If you are playing alone, you will be able to switch between the three Chasers on your team by locking onto them and then pressing Q on the keyboard or Up on the D-pad.

By strategically placing them across the Pitch you will be able to have a good offense by passing the Quaffle around to finally reach the enemy rings.

Opponent Chasers will always look to tackle you and steal the Quaffle away. They are marked by a red indicator and if they get close the color will grow bright. So make sure you keep passing the Quaffle around to make it easier for your team to score.

If you are not controlling the Chaser with the Quaffle, you can ask for passes if you are not being marked. Keep advancing your offense toward the rings and take the lead by scoring points.

How to play defense as a Chaser in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

When your team doesn’t have possession of the Quaffle, you will need to help your Keeper by stealing it away from the enemy. You will be able to do this by tackling the Chaser who has it by coming close to them.

Use left-click/RT/R2 to snatch it after your tackle connects. Make sure you pass the Quaffle along once you steal it, or the chances are that the enemy can immediately gain possession of it back from you.

How to perform an assist as a Chaser in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

As a Chaser you will also be able to perform an assist. To pull it off you will need to pass the Quaffle to an ally Chaser by locking onto them. Make sure that you charge your throws so that they have a higher success rate of reaching your teammate.

Once the ally Chaser has possession of the Quaffle they will need to put it through one of the enemy rings in under seven seconds for you to gain an assist. If you are playing the game solo, your control of the Chaser will change to the one you throw the Quaffle to.

So make sure you are scoring within the time limit to be able to register an assist. If you pull it off, you will get a notification at the right side of the screen during the Chaser’s celebration which will show the name of the player who helped with an assist.

Additional tips and tricks for mastering the Chaser

Passing the Quaffle Quidditch Champions

Here are some additional tips and tricks that you will need to keep in mind for mastering the Chaser in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions:

1) Be wary of incoming Bludgers

Beaters will often focus you down when you have possession of the Quaffle. They will hurl the Bludger at you and if you are hit by it you will be stunned for some time and your HP will also take a hit.

If you are hit with two Bludgers in a row, you will be knocked off your broom and won’t be able to re-enter the field for 10-15 seconds.

So if you a bludger is incoming you will get a prompt to evade it. So make sure to keep your eyes peeled once you have possession of the Quaffle.

2) Keep passing the Quaffle around

Don’t keep hoggin the Quaffle. Keep passing it around so that it’s harder for the enemy to regain possession of it. You see that multiple Chasers and Beaters are focusing on you and getting knocked off your broom is unavoidable, then pass th Quaffle to a teammate at the very last moment.

This will surely throw the enemy team off of their game.

3) Have a strategy and be unpredictable

AI enemies will be much easier to juke than actual players. So if you are keen on rising through the competitive ladder in PvP and co-op matchmaking then make sure to have a solid team strategy in place.

Be unpredictable with your passes and make it difficult for the enemy to regain possession of the Quaffle.
