Passive Activities is one of the more useful features in Brighter Shores which will let you gain levels in a particular profession when you are AFK or have logged out of the game. There are over 15 professions to look forward to in the MMO, and maxing the level for even one of them is going to take you hours.
The Passive Activities system makes the grind a bit easier, making it a bit more manageable to be the master of all trades.

Passive Activities in Brighter Shores explained
Passive Activities are all about making the grind of leveling up your professions a bit easier. When you first unlock a job in Brighter Shores you level it up by completing an objective that is tied to the profession itself.
For example, if you have just unlocked the Chef, the first thing that you will need to do to level up is to get your hands on Bread and Bacon to make a Bacon Sandwich. Hence, this is a rather active way of earning XP towards the next level up for the Chef profession.
With Passive Activities, you are able to gain some XP even when you are AFK or have logged out of the game for the day. However, do keep in mind that the XP gain through these activities is much slower than their active counterparts.
While they are quite useful when you are not actively playing the game, make sure to avoid doing them when you have logged in.
As you make your way through the game you will be able to unlock more Passive Activities by using Knowledge Points.
Note: Certain professions will demand specific tools to make the most of their Passive Activity. For example, guards and scouts will require a weapon while a foraging activity will need a forager tool. Moreover, other activities like fishing will need consumables in your inventory, like Bait or fish crates. So keep these things in mind.
How to gain Knowledge Points in Brighter Shores
Knowledge Points are something that you unlock as you spend more time in a profession. When you keep catching fish and level up the Fisherman job in Brighter Shores you contribute towards receiving a Knowledge Point.
You can check out the progress by making your way to the Professions tab. Here you will be able to check the amount of XP you have gained for any given profession and the rewards that you will unlock at each level.
Any activity that you take part in will automatically increase your progress toward obtaining a Knowledge Point.
Uses of Knowledge Points
Here are three things in particular that you will be able to use your accumulated Knowledge points for:
- Unlock Passive Activity
- Increase XP of a specific profession
- Sell for money
To help you have an easier time leveling up the various profession you should either choose to unlock Passive Activities or increase the XP of a specific profession. Pick the former when you are AFK or won’t have the time to actively play the game for a while.
It’s a waste to sell Knowledge Points for Silver, as there are other better ways of making money fast in Brighter Shores.
Moreover, you will be able to unlock a higher level of Passive Activities as well with Knowledge Points. These will provide additional benefits and can even yield better gathering resources from certain professions.
