Why should you own a house in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered?
There are a lot of advantages for owning your own house in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered. The most important one being having a bed to sleep on which you can use to level up your character and put points in your main Attributes.
Additionally, the Frostcrag Spire is a house that will give you immediate access to an Altar of Enchanting and an Altar of Spell Crafting. This former is used to Enchant your Weapons and Armor, making them significnatly more powerful.
An Altar of Enchantment is only available in tow places, one is in this player home and the other is in the Arcane University, to which you will gain access only after completing all the Reccomendation quests from every Mage’s Guild.
Additonally, Player Houses act as fast travel points. So if you have by chance chosen to become a vampire in the game, you will want to avoid the sun at all costs. Hence, using these points as shelter will allow you to get away from its effects.
The most important use of a house, however, is it’s storage space. It’s very easy to get your character encumbered if you are not putting points in Strength. So you can use the storage space at one of your homes to put away important crafting resources, and other items, wepaons and armor, for another time.
