To get your hands on new abilities in Star Wars Outlaws you will need to first learn them from “Experts”. These “Experts” are NPCs and you will be able to encounter them as you make your way through the narrative and explore new areas in the action-adventure.
Kay will eventually develop a relationship with them and each of the experts will be able to unlock six abilities for you. However, to learn these abilities you will first need to meet certain conditions that are kept by them.
These conditions will take some time to meet, but they are worth the investment as you will get your hands on some amazing skills as a result.
Here is a guide on how you will be able to unlock every single expert and ability in Star Wars Outlaws.
Unlocking every Expert and Ability in Star Wars Outlaws
1) Bram (The Bartender)
How to unlock:
- Bram is automatically unlocked early in the story. He will serve as an introduction to the Expert/Ability system.

2) Selo Rovak (The Mechanic)
How to unlock:
- You will unlock Selo Rovak after completing some initial missions on Toshara. Kay will receive some intel on Selo Rovak, and you will eventually unlock her as an Expert.

3) Aila Bren (The Slicer)
How to unlock:
- You will gain intel on the Slicer as soon as you gain intel on the Mechanic. The mission to unlock Aila Bren is a difficult one in Star Wars Outlaws which will significantly increase your wanted level. However, it’s important that you do it to get your hands on the Slicer Kit and Sneak Shot.

4) Temmin Wexely (The Scavenger)
How to unlock:
- To unlock the Scavenger you will need to complete the first main quest in Akiva called, “The Droidsmight”. Completing the various objectives in it will automatically unlock the new Expert for you.

5) Rooster Trace (The Mercenary)
How to unlock:
- To unlock the Mercenary you will need to reach Kijimi and complete at least half of the main storyline there. Once “The Safecracker” mission activates, you will be able to receive intel on the Mercenary.

6) Sheriff Quint (The Gunslinger)
How to unlock:
- You will unlock Sheriff Quint as an expert in Star Wars Outlaws during one of the initial main story missions in Tatooine. The mission is called “The Heavy” so just follow the steps to gain access to the Gunslinger abilities.

7) Teeka (The Hotfixer)
How to unlock:
- After you are grounded by Jabba the Hutt in Tatooin, you will be advised to add an additional turret to the Trailblazer. This will start “The Hotfixer” wuest, unlocking Teeka as the new expert.

8) Lando Calrissian (The High Roller)
How to unlock:
- To unlock Lando Calrissian as an expert you will first need to make your way to Akiva and then look for the Droidsmith there. This will lead you to search for Myrra in Surat and then kick of the quest chain that leads to the High Roller.
All high Roller abilities:

9) MT-7 (The Veteran)
How to unlock:
- You will get to unlock the Veteran after collecting all the Encrypted Messages from the special containers that are located throughout the various space sections in Star Wars Outlaws. Once you have them, talk to ND-5 and they will decrypt it for you. This will then kick off a new intel chain and you will be able to unlock MT-7 as the final expert in the game.
