Of the eight Nightfarers available, you’ll need to complete short quests to unlock the Duchess and the Revenant classes in Elden Ring Nightreign.
While its soulslike counterpart gave you the freedom to pick up whichever class you wanted from the very beginning, Nightreign lets you access only six. However, before you get your hands on the Revenant class, you’ll have to unlock the Duchess.
So, here’s how you can unlock and use both these classes while exploring the unforgiving lands of Limveld.
How to Get the Duchess Nightfarer in Elden Ring Nightreign

Unlocking the Duchess is comparatively simple, because all you need to do is acquire a specific relic while completing an expedition.
The one that we’re talking about here is the Tricephalos expedition, which is the first ever expedition that you will come across in Elden Ring Nightreign. One of the rewards that you get from this expedition is the Old Pocketwatch.
This is RNG dependent, so there’s a chance that you might have to run this expedition a couple of times to be able to collect this relic.
Once you’ve got it, make your way to the Priestess NPC in the Roundtable Hold, and talk to her. Show her the Old Pocketwatch, and you should get access to the Duchess for your next playthrough.
How to Unlock the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign

Once you unlock Duchess, make your way to the Small Jar Bazaar. You’ll find this friendly cracked pot selling a relic called the Besmirched Frame for 1500 Murk.
When you purchase this item, you’ll notice that a small exclamation mark has appeared on your minimap. Follow this mark, and you’ll see a small ghost standing and staring at a painting.
When you interact with this ghost, she’ll teleport you to the training area where you first spawned during the tutorial segment. Before you interact with this ghost, be sure to switch to a character that you’re comfortable with because the next segment is completely solo.
When you get teleported to the training area, you’ll need to defeat the Night Idol and her summons. This individual is nothing but the Revenant, a glass cannon character who is extremely annoying to defeat, primarily because of her summons.
Before you deal with the Night Idol, make sure to take care of all her summons otherwise the fight is very annoying. Using a character with a high evasion rating, like the Ironeye or the Executor will help you push through this encounter with ease.
After you’ve defeated the Night Idol, you’ll get access to the Revenant the next time you head out on an expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.
