The preview is now live for League of Legends patch 25.13, which is going to be the patch that this year’s MSI will be played on. Riot is looking to make last-minute changes to the MOBA before the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational officially kicks off.
Some of the biggest highlights of the update are the buffs making their way to Gangplank, Irelia, Nidalee, Rammus, and Kindred. Nerfs, on the other hand, will be hitting Ryze, Twisted Fate, Vi, and Yorick
LoL patch 15.13 is a rather small one, and will just tinker with some balance changes to prep before MSI.
League of Legends patch 25.13 (MSI patch) preview
Before moving on to the list of changes, it’s important to note here that Riot Games will first be testing these tweaks out in the LoL PBE before officially shipping them with the patch next week.
1) Champion Buffs
- Fiddlesticks
- Gangplank
- Irelia
- Kindred
- Nidalee
- Rammus
When talking about the upcoming buffs, Riot mentions,
“Our buffs to JG Nidalee didn’t quite pan out, looking for a bit more of a buff to her as a result. GP is looking a bit weak, even for his mastery curve. With our Jax buffs in .12, looking to also open him up as a more viable pick there. Rammus has landed a bit weaker than we wanted. In terms of pattern, it’s landed mostly reasonably; he just needs the numbers to back it up.”
2) Champion Nerfs
- Ryze
- Twisted Fate
- Vi
- Yorick
When talking about the champion nerfs, Riot states,
“Ryze is looking a bit too unassailable on current tuning, especially after we nerfed a lot of his competition in 25.12. We’re not looking for a major nerf here, just a small tap down. TF has gotten a big bump from his .12 changes, he’s been pretty good in soloQ, especially with Ludens and Rocketbelt builds that are more performant. Given that, we wanna pull it back a little bit, don’t think he needs such a big buff to be viable for competitive.”
