League of Legends patch 25.9 preview is now live, and the developers have gone over a list of the changes that they are looking to implement in the MOBA in the coming week.
Some of the biggest highlights of the patch are the buffs making their way to Ashe, Annie, and K’Sante.
Nerfs, on the other hand, will be implemented for Naafiri, Kalista, and Yorick, along with adjustments hitting Feat boots.
Below is a list of all the changes that are expected to make their way to League of Legends with patch 25.9
League of Legends patch 25.9 prenotes
Before moving on to the list of proposed changes, it’s important to note here that the tweaks mentioned are tentative and Riot will be implementing this patch first in the LoL PBE before officially shipping them with the update next week.
1) Champion Buffs
- Annie
- Ashe
- K’Sante
- Leona
- Morgana
- Orianna
- Shen
2) Champion Nerfs
- Gwen
- Naafiri
- Kalista
- Yorick
3) System Buffs
- Ignite
- Unflinching
When talking about the Ignite changes, Riot states,
“In especially higher levels, Teleport is still the dominant summoner spell, often beating out Ignite in both early and late games; we want Ignite to be a lot more prevalent in these skill brackets especially, so we’re targeting a buff to ignite’s scaling properties to be on a bit more of an equal playing field. At the same time, we don’t want bot lane (especially) or super early game to be a blood bath with all supports taking ignite again, so we’re buffing Ignite values from level 6 onwards only. This will result in a bit more snowballiness, but we’re also taking some out from other changes (like pushing grubs back).”
4) System Adjustments
- Biscuits
- Feat Boots
- Symbiotic Soles
When talking about the Feat Boots adjustments, Riot stated:
“Feats boots are also receiving a buff here; players have caught on now that they’re not actually as powerful as they seem, so we’re better matching their actual power with perceived power. In conjunction with these buffs, we’re also better balancing the T2 boots to prevent the whole boot ecosystem from being too strong; a small nerf to Swiftnes. For Symbiotic Soles, we’re removing the empowered recall on the base boot as it’s getting a bit too warping for laning phase dynamics as currently tuned; we want it to be a bit more about map mobility, especially later in the game.”
