League of Legends Season 14 (2024) Swarm game mode end date revealed

League of Legends’ incredibly popular game mode Swarm will be leaving rotation soon and is unlikely to make its way back to the client in season 14. Swarm was introduced to the MOBA with patch 14.14 which was released about a month ago.

It’s a PvE “bullet-heaven” game mode where, for the first time in LoL history, you can control a champion with “WASD”. However, as Swarm is not a permanent game mode like ARAM, it was bound to eventually make its way out of the MOBA.

When is League of Legends Swarm ending in Season 14?

Swarm gameplay mechanics explained

In Season 14, LoL Swarm will be leaving the game mode rotation on August 19, 2024, at 12.00 AM regional time. It’s a few days after League of Legends patch 14.16 goes live so you have a very short time on your hands to burn your way through all the Primordial enemies one last time this season.

As the exact time of its leaving will depend on the region of the server you are playing it on, here is a server and time zone table for reference:

When will League of Legends Swarm return?

Although Swarm grew to be one of LoL’s most popular game modes of all time it’s unlikely to make a return to the client any time soon. At the very least it will not be reappearing this season as Riot might have another game mode planned for Split 3 of the new Ranked season.

Swarm will likely be making a return in Season 15, 2025, and there will be a lot of changes that Riot is adding to it as they did with Arena
