For games like Rainbox Six Siege, crossplay is an important factor because it lets you play with your friends or matchmake with others across all available platforms.
The crossplay feature is very common and is seen in most multiplayer titles, especially in the ones that have unlockable content and in-game cosmetics.
So, does the game support crossplay, and does it have cross progression? Here’s everything that you need to know about it.
Does Rainbow Six Siege have crossplay?
While Rainbow Six Siege does have crossplay, it’s not exactly how you would expect it to be. Here’s how it works:
- Console players on PlayStation and Xbox will be able to play with other players on these two platforms.
- PC players will be able to play with players on PC and on Amazon Luna.

While PC players cannot play with Console players at this point, the developers have indicated that the final season in Year 9 will see the arrival of crossplay across all available platforms in Rainbow Six Siege.
How to enable crossplay
In Rainbow Six Siege, crossplay is enabled by default, but if you can’t play with your friends on another platform, here’s how you can check if you have the feature enabled:
- Launch Rainbow Six Siege.
- Head to “Options” and select the “General” tab.
- Under the “General” tab, you will find an option called “Crossplay Matchmaking.”
- In case this is disabled, toggle it to “On.”
Does Rainbow Six Siege have cross progression?
Yes, Rainbow Six Siege supports cross progression. Once you’ve connected your Ubisoft account to all platforms on which you own Rainbow Six Siege, all your character unlocks, Renown, and in-game items will be shared across these platforms.
With cross progression available, you can play Rainbow Six Siege on any platform you want to, without losing out on the items and ranks that you’ve previously unlocked in the game.
