Flashy and cool fighting game supers are often the point of discussion, but the hilarious ones are rarely brought up. Fighting game is a genre that thrives on expressive character animations.
These games are filled with joke characters having comedic/ easter egg special moves sealed behind the barrier of execution.
That’s why sometimes, when a player can wipe the floor, beating everyone with the hard but funny characters, humor becomes badass. In the list below, we will look at some of those characters with absolutely hilarious supers.
Fighting game supers, which are hilarious

Faust – Shigekiteki Zetsumei Ken (Guilty Gear)
After being regarded as one of the most underrated fighting game franchises for a long time, the Guilty Gear series came out as one of the most celebrated in the genre after the release of Guilty Gear STRIVE in 2021.
The game has a massive cast of really incredible characters with expressive supers. The most memorable and hilarious one has to be the character Faust’s Shigekiteki Zetsumei Ken super, which has various names in different games.
During this Super Faust does a low-moving attack which if the player gets hit with, it goes into a fun little mini-game. If the opponent guesses wrong then Faust will thrust his medical scalple up the opponent’s butt as the camera zooms in to caputer their expression.
Hakan – Oil Hold Combination (Street Fighter)
Probably the most important Fighting Game franchise, known to have invented the combo system we know so well in various video games. Street Fighter was a game that shaped the fighting games and established a lot of things we know today in the genre.
The franchise is known for being the melting pot of cultures from around the world, blended into the fictional style of fighting. With it also comes several hilarious and outright absurd stereotypes which Street Fighter is known for.
One such insanity is the fan favorite character, Hakan. Being a Turkish oil wrestler, his signature ultra combo move involves him making the opponent slip and slide on his belly following him squeezing them, flying out at the wall, absolutely mad game design.
Kabal – Freaky Face (Mortal Kombat)
Everyone knows the Mortal Kombat franchise, most well known of the fighting games which is a favorite title for even the most casual players of the genre. Also known for sort of influencing the ESRB rating in video games.
For most people, what made the game stand out was the various kinds of insane fatalities, which were unique to Mortal Kombat. Fatalities were so famous for the gore that it had to be banned in a few asian countries.
Some of these fatalities were also absurdly hilarious, which brings us to our topic at hand and the character Kabal. Specifically, one of his fatalities involves him unmasking his freaky face to scare the opponent, so much that their soul runs away.
Lilith – Gloomy Puppet Show (Darkstalkers)
The Darkstalkers franchise is another classic Capcom title which was responsible for influencing a good deal of mechanics in the genre, including air dashing, push blocking, gatling combos and more. Many fans point to the series as being the pioneer for anime fighting games.
The series is home to characters who are popular in all video games in general. A few of the fan favorites are the green-haired succubus Morrigan and her other half Lilith, who is going the center of discussion for us, specifically her hilarious super, Gloomy Puppet Show.
This super move is once again a mini game where Lilith slips into a bunny suit and puts the opponent on a podium for her puppet show, before making them take the damage.
Neco Arc – Angolmois Hammer (Melty Blood: Type Lumina)
Neco Arc is a comic relief character who has existed in Type-Moon games for a long time, especially in the spin-offs of Tsukihime light novel, like the Melty Blood games. However, the character didn’t become as popular until images started going up on social media.
Nowadays, people will recognize the character from various memes, but little do people know the origins of Neco Arc, or the fact that she is a parody of the character Arcuied.
Neco Arc is a character with absolutely hilarious-looking movesets in the Melty Blood game, and her Angolmois Hammer super in the new Melty Blood: Type Lumina game takes the cake for being one of the funniest fighting game supers we have ever seen.
Deadpool – 4th Wall Crisis (Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3)
The Marvel vs Capcom series is one of the most popular fighting games, which fans wish to see get revived in the modern era. It has the potential for a very colorful roster of characters, and fans don’t want this game to be the last fighting game appearance of Deadpool either.
In Ultimate vs Capcom 3, Deadpool pulls some crazy shenanigans. Most memorable being his 4th Wall Crisis super which is actually a counter move.
If the opponent gets hit by it, then Deadpool will pull a crazy cinematic super, which ends with him beating up the opponent with the game UI itself.
Big Band – Satchmo Solo/Satchmo Death Blow (Skullgirls)
Skullgirls has a smart sense of humor in its gameplay, which is reflected through the characters, especially Big Band. The character used to be a cop, and now is a complete walking, fighting band.
Big Band’s super move, Satchmo Solo/Satchmo Death Blow, is something which is utterly hilarious and deserves a mention in this list as it also might be one of the most unique supers in a fighting game ever.
If the opponent gets hit by this super, then time will freeze and Big Band will pull out his trumpet, allowing the player to play a three-second custom musical composition before going into rest of the super beating them up.
