Ornn is likely going to be receiving a passive rework in League of Legends patch 14.11. The items that the forge master will now be able to upgrade will no longer have unique names. However, every legendary item in the MOBA will now be upgradable through his passive.
However, the upgrades will be restricted to one item per champion (as is currently the case) and each item upgrade will roughly cost around 1k worth of stats.
The item that Ornn can choose to upgrade will be the one that is in the first slot of your inventory. Below are some of the changes that Ornn is expected to get with League of Legends patch 14.11.
Ornn passive rework League of Legends patch 14.11
Before moving on to the proposed changes for Ornn’s passive, it’s important to not here that the tweaks mentioned are tentative. Riot Games will first be testing them in the League of Legends PBE before officially shipping them with the 14.11 update.
Ornn Passive rework:
- Every legendary item can now be upgraded
- Items no longer have a unique name, now have a (Masterwork) tag after them
- Still only upgrades 1 item per champ, the item chosen is the one in the player’s first slot
- Upgrades are still roughly 1k worth of stats
However, unlike how the previous passive worked, Ornn will now only be able to upgrade certain stats only:
- AD is 1 per 35g
- AP is 1 per 20g
- HP is 1 per 2.66g
- Armor is 1 per 20g
- MR is 1 per 18g
- AH is 1 per 31.25g
- Attack speed is 1% per 30g
However, do keep in mind that the amount of HP in an item will diminish the more stats that it has. So an upgraded Black Cleaver will have much lower health values than that of an upgraded Warmog’s Armor, even though both the items offer the same base HP values.
League of Legends patch 14.11 is expected to go live May 29, 2024. It will be interesting to see the balance changes and fixes that Riot introduces with th patch after the massive 14.10 update.
