Galaxy Z Trifold Specs, Pricing and Release Date

Samsung recently unveiled its Galaxy Z TriFold, a rather unique 3-way fold design in an impossibly thin case. It definitely looks like a proof of concept of soon to be tech, or even a glimpse into the future of smartphones.

It’s also a pricey one, heading over so to all markets and will likely be a limited run of sorts.

Galaxy Z TriFold Price and Release Date

Samsung Trifold

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be released by the end of Q1 2026, although it will go on sale in Korea earlier (on December 12, 2025). We don’t have any information on the pricing just yet though, but it is expected to be quite a lot.

Samsung has multiple regions mapped out for its international launch, including China and the US. Interestingly, Samsung will also offer every user a 50% discount on display repair costs which makes you wonder about that folding screen’s durability.

The Galaxy Z TriFold packs a reasonable amount of compute power in its rather unconventional (and difficult) design. That being said, while powerful, the phone is not bleeding edge in terms of hardware.

It will still be plenty enough for most users though, who might be willing to put up with other compromises, as seen in a first gen product.
