Characters in Deadlock are participating in the ritual for various reasons. Some are trying to investigate the whole phenomenon, while others are trying to sabotage it. Then there are also those who want simpler things in life, like a little bit of wealth and fortune.
Silver is out on the streets fighting exactly for that. Her life is currently a hot mess, so she wishes to turn it around by summoning the patrons into the real world and making a wish. She believes that money will help get her life back on track.
She has been living with the curse of lycanthropy for as long as she can remember. Silver claims to have full control over her werewolf form, but not when the transformation gets triggered, and this messes things up quite a lot for her.
Silver wants to get her life on track
Silver is an irresponsible bounty hunter, as she ends up killing or fatally wounding a lot of her bounties due to her methods. She is well aware of her shortcomings and destructive tendencies, and she only has herself to blame for all of it.
This situation leads her into a severe state of depression and makes her believe that she can’t get anything done right. Silver does not even like being a bounty hunter, but she also feels that it’s the only thing that keeps her from being homeless. As a result, aside from paying rent, she drowns herself in alcohol by spending every nickel and dime on it.
Silver is well known among a lot of characters in the Deadlock cast, as she has a history with quite a few of them. Mostly Vyper, whom she has brought under custody on several occasions.
Vyper and Silver have a cat-and-mouse chase relationship
It has almost become a running joke between the two characters, with Silver even bringing it up every time she gets an in-game kill on her. Silver also has pent-up hatred towards Shiv for some reason and believes that he cannot ever become a changed person, considering his criminal past.
Their relationship and the backstory around this have not been revealed yet in the game, so there’s nothing much to speculate on, except the fact that Silver once had an ex-partner who is currently unnamed. Many in the community feel that the partner might be Shiv or is related to him in some way.
Silver is also old pals with Abrams and calls him ‘Abe’ every time they meet. And she ruminates over how Abrams used to be a more interesting character back in the day when he used to make bad decisions with her.
A fun fact about Silver is that her in-game entangling bola ability is what influenced Vyper’s petrifying bola, as a sort of nod to their cat-and-mouse chase relationship.
