With Fortnite’s Star Wars themed season Galactic Battle finally here, you will be tasked with choosing a side; either the Light side or the Dark side.
While you have a personal objective of aligning with either the light side or the dark side, your actions will contribute towards the a community challenge as well.
The rewards for these challenges are the same, but it’s still an interesting nuance that Epic Games chose to introduce to make the season immersive.
How to Choose the Light or Dark Side in Fortnite Star Wars Galactic Battle
If you notice the quest panel carefully, you’ll see that the Light Side and the Dark Side are denoted by two different icons; the blue and the red icon respectively.
Each of these icons has a quest associated with it. These quests are absolutely random, and will differ from player to player. However, the quests are simple enough, and will require you to travel a certain distance in a vehicle or secure specific eliminations.
Light Side Alignment
When it comes to the Light Side Alignment in Fortnite Star Wars, the quests mostly revolve around landing at a Rebel Outpost, or the Resistance Bases. You could also be tasked with traveling a distance in the X-Wing or gaining shields. Each quest rewards you with 3,000 XP, so completing all five steps would net you a total of 15,000 XP.
Dark Side Alignment
For the Dark Side Alignment, you’ll have to land at the Imperial Outposts, Darth Vader’s arena, the First Order base on the northeastern side of the map. The quests associated with the dark side are a tad bit more violent in nature and will require you to secure eliminations, or travel some distance in a Tie Fighter amongst others.
Overall, its unlikely that completing one alignment will lock you out from the other but if you’re looking for true immersion, you can side with either the Light or the Dark Side. May the force be with you, Looper!
