Sparks are one of the key resources that you obtain in Black Myth Wukong that will help the Destined One grow significantly more powerful. These are skill points that you invest in unlocking new abilities that can help you have a more versatile approach to the challenges that the game will throw at you.
Hence, as you keep progressing towards the later stages of the story, you might want to learn about the ways you can acquire more Sparks on your journey in the action-adventure game.
All ways to obtain Sparks in Black Myth Wukong
As mentioned, Sparks are essentially Skill Points that you get to invest in new skills and abilities for the Destined one. Fortunately, they are not lost upon death and you can always re-arrange all of your invested Sparks by going for the “Reignite the Sparks” mechanic if you are looking to go for a completely different playstyle.
Here are the two main ways by which you can obtain Sparks in Black Myth Wukong:
1) Leveling up
Going up one level in the game will instantly grant you a Spark. The Destined One will level up when you complete quests (both side and main story ones) and take down some of the hardest bosses that the game has to offer.
Additionally, as resting at a Keeper’s Shrine respawns all the enemies in the area, you will be able to farm the harder enemies who grant more XP to level up fast and obtain Sparks.

2) Finding Meditation Spots
Meditation Spots are key points of interest that you will come across on your journey. These are tranquil locations that act as a safe haven for the Destined One. Once you find a spot, interact with it, which will start a cutscene and once that is over, you will automatically earn a Spark.
There are a total of 24 Meditation Spots in Black Myth Wukong, so make sure you find all of them to unlock as many abilities as you can for the Destined One.
How to use Spark in Black Myth Wukong
Once you have obtained enough Sparks to unlock new abilities for your character, you will be able to head into the Self Advance option from the main menu and unlock new skills. Additionally, you can do this at any time during your journey and you will not need to rest at a Keeper’s Shrine (like you would usually have to in souls-like titles) to do it.
With the “Reignite the Sparks” option you can reset all Sparks and re-invest them in other abilities to try out different playstyles. This offers a lot of room for experimentation, letting you cater to a particular strat depending on the boss you are up against.
