Most OP duo combinations in League of Legends Arena season 14

League of Legends Arena is finally back in season 14. This time around the game mode will feature eight teams of two instead of the initial four teams of two. Arena is now a 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2 and the LoL community has been coming up with some of the most overpowered duo combinations for it.

Apart from allowing more players to join the chaos, the League of Legends Arena has also seen some balance changes. Updates to items, runes, and champion balance have made sure that there will be new OP picks this time around.

The champions that were very relevant in the previous rendition of the game mode will likely not see the same level of popularity now.

Our list today goes over some of the most overpowered champion duo combinations for League of Legends Arena in patch 14.11.

10 best champion duo combinations for League of Legends Arena 14.11

Before moving onto the list do keep in mind that the dup combinations that we are suggesting today are for the Arena. The game mode plays out very differently compared to Summoner’s Rift and the list should not be confused with other game modes in Riot’s MOBA.

The list below will feature champions who have the best synergy with each other and bring both sustain and damage to the table.

1) Galio and Illaoi

Galio Illaoi Arena

Galio and Illaoi are some of the hardest champions to kill in the game once they complete their build. The amount of sustain that they have is very difficult to get through and there are not a lot of champions in the game who can counter them in Arena.

Along with their innate sustain, both Galio and Illaoi have an incredible amount of burst damage and CC. The former will be able to taunt both of the champions up, allowing Ilaoi the perfect opportunity to go in with her ult.

She can burst the champions down immediately and spawn multiple tentacles while she is at it. As Arena has small 2v2 maps, it provides a great setup for Illaoi’s passive. She can literally fill the entire map with tentacles.

2) Brand and Trundle

Brand and Trundle Arena

Brand and Trundle are another overpowered duo that you can try out in League of Legends Arena Season 14. Where does an incredible amount of max HP damage, the other is capable of sapping away enemy resistances making them more susceptible to Brand’s Blaze procs.

When up against just two champions, Brand is also able to make the most of his ultimate. Pyroclasm will keep bouncing between the two enemies dealing an insane amount of burst damage right off the bat.

The damage done will be even more if Trundle is sapping away at their resistance. This makes them incredibly annoying to deal with one of the best picks for Arena.

3) Vladimir and Zed

Vladimi and Zer are an overpowered duo in League of Legends Arena

Vladimir and Zed have a pretty decent Early Game which will let them gain some early leads when a match begins in Arena. They are both quite slippery to pin down and come with an extraordinary amount of burst.

This lets them steamroll their way through the early stages and even eliminate certain teams. While Zed does fall off a bit the later a game goes, Vladimir does not. His DPS and sustain keep scaling making him a monster in the later stages.

These champions complement each other rather well. Their playstyle is versatile enough to either go for an all-in or a hit-and-run tactic. Depending on the duo they are up against they can pivot between the two.

4) Master Yi and Yuumi

Master Yi and Yuumi League of Legends Arena

Master Yi and Yuumi might seem like an unlikely duo for League of Legends Arena. However, don’t underestimate the crazy amount of DPS that they can dish out in the Late Game.

Master is a hyper-carry when his build is finally online. Yuumi on the other hand will be able to keep healing him up and lock the enemy down with her ultimate. Yuumi has a lot of poke damage as well which slows the target and makes it difficult for them to engage onto her.

So when the duo gets joined to the him they become some of the most overpowered champions in the game. Master Yi becomes a menace if you can’t take him down immediately, and he will melt through even the tankiest of champions if he is given enough time.

5) Rammus and Kayne

Rammus and Kayne

Both red and blue Kayne pair very well with a lot of champions in Arena. However, he seems to be doing especially well when paired with Rammus. The Armordillo has a lot of CC in his kit and is one of the best counters against AD champions.

It’s incredibly difficult to melt through his defenses, and what he lacks in damage, Kayne can make up for it very easily. If you want more burst and upfront DPS then go for blue Kayne, if you want sustain and extended fights then go for red Kayne.

Either version will complement Rammus extremely well. However, this combination can be a bit weak early, it’s only in the Mid-to-Late Game do they start to shine.

6) Kayle and Briar

Kayle and Briar are a very powerful duo in League of Legends Arena

Briar and Kayle are another crazy combination of overpowered champions that you should try out in League of Legends Arena. They are an extremely fun duo to pair together and they are pretty strong as soon as they get some levels and items under their belts.

With the right augment setup, they will be able to tear through tanks and carries alike. One downside of the duo is that Kayle might take a while to come online. However, Briar makes up for it in the early game because of the amount of DPS she can do.

Kayle’s ult, if timed right can flip a fight on its head by making either her or Briar invulnerable for a few seconds. This will give them enough time to take the enemy down in the Late Game without having to worry about incoming CC.

7) Singed and Garen

Singed and Garen Arena

Singed and Garen is perhaps one of the most annoying Arena duos that you can go up against. They are very difficult to pin down and take out. Singed will disrupt the fight with his flips and Mega Adhesive and Garen will make it extremely difficult to channel abilities with his silence.

While one will spin to win and then run away to heal, the other will just keep chipping at your health with his poison gas. He has an incredibly difficult hit-and-run strategy that can only be countered by a team thaat has a lot of hard CC.

Singed and Garen can run away with the game if they are not properly countered. They are also very easy to pilot and can be great at securing some easy wins in Arena.

8) Udyr and Mordekaiser

Udyr and Mordekaiser Arena

Udyr and Mordekaiser do extremely well against isolated targets and the latter’s ultimate helps them get these 1-on-1 situations. Normally players would pick a duo that complements each other in Arena.

While both the picks might be weak individually, together they become a teamfighting powerhouse. Mordekaiser’s Realm of Death disrupts this very strategy and players are forced to go into a 1v1 skirmish.

This gives them enough time to burst down the enemy. Even if they are not able to kill them during the time the ult is up, the amount of damage they have done thus far will make it easy to secure the kills.

Mordekaise’s ultimate gets even more dangerous the smaller the Arena radius becomes. So he will shine even in longer delayed fights.

9) Lee Sin and Darius

Leesin and Darius Arena

Lee Sin and Darius are another overpowered duo you can try in League of Legends Arena. They have a good deal of burst and sustain. So if you are picking the right Augments they will be strong from Early Game all the way to the Late Game.

While they might not have a lot of CC in their kit, they will, however, be able to melt a target in the blink of an eye. Lee Sin can Dragon’s Rage a target into Dariu’s decimate which will help him have an easier time applying the Hemorrhage procs.

The more stacks of Hemorrhage a target has the more damage will Darius’ Noxian Guilotin do. Les Sin is great at setting up kills for Darius and can also chase down low-health bars if Darius’s ult does not straight up kill them.

10) Cassiopeia and Teemo

Cassiopeia and Teemo Arena

The Poison Duo is another pair of incredibly annoying and overpowered champions to deal with in League of Legends Arena. Teemo’s Shrooms and auto attacks compliments Cassiopeia’s Twin Fangs.

It helps her kite effectively around a fight while Teemo’s Shoorms makes it difficult for the enemy to engage onto them. Both the champions have a good amount of burst and consistent DPS. They are effective against both tanks and carries, however, they are rather squishy and very easy to take down.

This makes them a bit difficult to execute in the later stages of the game, and you can struggle depending on the duos you are up against.

However, Cassiopeia is a Late Game powerhouse and if you can kite well with her, she can completely take over any match-up.
