Dynamo is not the only egghead in Deadlock. Margaret, or as the game calls her, McGinnis, is another character who is very important in the game for her contributions in occult machinery and tech, as long as she gets her paycheques.
As a lady who is completely opposed to theoretical discourses, McGinnis prides herself on spending most of her time in mechanical workshops. At the age of 4, she showed her prowess in constructing architectural wonders just using Lincoln Logs.
By the time McGinnis was 15, she was already designing machines that could refine the souls of the dead. And this is what led her to being discovered by Maximilian Fairfax, CEO of the biggest arms manufacturing industry in the world.

The head of R&D in developing weapons of mass destruction
McGinnis went on to become the Head of Fairfax Industries Military R&D department. While that all sounds great on the surface, you soon find out that this newfound position in life was responsible for producing weapons of mass destruction.
And at this point, if you are hoping that McGinnis will drown herself in deep anguish and guilt like Oppenheimer after learning that her inventions are the reason for the deaths of millions, then you are deeply mistaken.
You see, McGinnis is indifferent to the ways in which her inventions may be used. She does not have a shred of care for the sins of Fairfax Industries, as it would only make her a soulless monster in a theoretical sense.

McGinnis does not concern herself with the death of civilians
This is further confirmed in the Lady Giest visual Novel when she meets McGinnis and confronts her about the horrors her machinery can bring about. She is content with being a “wage slave” as long as she gets to do whatever she wants with machinery.
And this is also the kind of mindset she brings to the patron summoning ritual. Because her sole purpose of participating in it is to test out some new kind of weaponry, which may require her to ‘harness the power of Gods’.
A few fun facts about McGinnis: Ahw loves making fun of characters who don’t use actual guns as weapons in the fight for the ritual. This includes Infernus and Grey Talon. Also, she purposely keeps mispronouncing Kelvin’s name as Kevin.

McGinnis may have a thing for Shiv, as she specifically talks about “fixing him” in one of their conversations when he is killed by her in gameplay.
