So how do you earn Marks of Mastery in League of Legends?

How to earn Marks of Mastery in League of Legends

The only way for you to earn Marks of Mastery in League of Legends is by earning high scores while playing Summoners Rift and Howling Abyss.

Depending upon your performance in these games you’ll receive ranks which will determine whether you earn Marks of Mastery or not.

The highest grade that you can receive is S+ while the lowest grade that you can receive is D-. If you receive the S grade or higher, you’ll receive a Mark of Mastery.

When it comes to rating your performance, the developers won’t only look at how you play with a particular hero in a particular role, but it’ll also compare it to how other players in the region have played with that hero in the same role.

Here’s a table that will tell you the number of Marks you need to upgrade your hero level in League of Legends:

Mastery LevelMarks Needed
One to fourNone
Five to nineOne for every level
10+Two for each level up

To simplify, Marks of Mastery can be considered as a currency that you can use to upgrade your Champion Mastery, and show off your achievements to the rest of the world.
