Marvel Rivals is an upcoming hero PvP shooter that has players duking it out in teams of two, using iconic characters from the Marvel universe. The game is set to launch for multiple platforms, including the PC and current-gen consoles.
Naturally, developer NetEase Games has prepared a set of minimum and recommended system requirements for Marvel Rivals, which will be discussed below.
Marvel Rivals PC system requirements
As detailed within the official Steam store page for the game, the following minimum and recommended system requirements must be kept in mind while attempting to run the game on PC hardware:
Minimum
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- RAM: 12 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or and AMD RX 580
- DirectX version: 12
- Storage: 70 GB
Additionally, a persistent internet connection is mandatory for playing the game, as is a solid state drive (SSD) over a hard disk drive (HDD).

Recommended
- Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit or newer
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (or newer)
- RAM: 16 GB or higher
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or an AMD RX 5700 XT (or better)
- DirectX version: 12
- Storage: 70 GB minimum
As Marvel Rivals is primarily designed as an arena PvP shooter, a persistent internet connection is mandatory for playing through the game. Furthermore, much like any modern AAA port, an NVMe solid state drive is highly recommended, over SATA based variants – to prevent stutters that might result from loading in-game assets.
Based on the aforementioned recommended and minimum system requirements for Marvel Rivals, the game does appear to be rather demanding in terms of PC hardware. While the game does look visually stunning with its usage of a vivid color palette and comic book-esque art style, recommending a 5600X and a 2060 Super does seem rather overkill.
