The new BOYCOTTAHRI in the League of Legends movement is trending among fans as Riot is set to release its most expensive skin ever. The price for the Faker Hall of Legends bundle has left the gaming community seeing red and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by streamers either. The majority are not in favor of this exorbitant price tag, fueling even more outrage within the community towards Riot Games.
Some feel bitter that this new occasion was never meant to pay tribute to Faker but is an act of corporate avarice that is smearing a legend’s legacy. As a result, the well-known Reddit and X page “LeagueOfMemes” has taken action against Riot using a hashtag called BOYCOTTAHRI in League of Legends.

BOYCOTTAHRI in League of Legends is trending as Faker’s skin costs nearly $500

The Hall of Legends is the newest event that aims to pay tribute to some of the greatest players in LoL. Henceforth, the first player to be inducted into the Hall of Legends is Faker, a four-time Worlds winner and considered by many as the greatest player ever.
But with this accolade also comes a new skin that is so costly — players are contemplating banning the champion it is associated with. Faker’s Signature Immortalized Legend Collection stands as the priciest choice among the three bundle options.
The bundle includes unique additional items apart from the cosmetics for two of Faker’s most popular champions, many of which cannot be obtained in any other way. However, you must spend 59,620 Riot Points (LoL’s premium in-game currency) to get the skins.
For example, League of Legends’ most skins are priced at 1,350 RP which can be acquired by spending approximately $16. In contrast, gathering the almost 60,000 points required for this bundle will entail purchasing four top-tier bundles at $100 each and an additional $50 bundle to cover the remaining amount. Thus, a total of up to a total of $450. This is unequivocally Riot’s largest microtransaction; far surpassing any in their history.
In addition, popular Twitch streamer Asmongold chimed in on the Faker bundle as well. Upon witnessing the uproar on social media, Asmongold labeled it a “filthy cash grab.” He urged the community to support the BOYCOTTAHRI movement in League of Legends, drawing parallels to another community action taken by Helldivers 2 players against their developers’ decision regarding PSN account linkage.
